Still worthy to bring under the general attention me thinks.
I'm not sure. We must be impressed by different things. I expect better from the average conservative or right leaning american. As usual we should be wary not to equate dumb fucks and extremists with the moderate majority.

By no means are democrats excused from the ethics debate. I think the real problem is the direction of the republican ethos though. They seem to be drifting downward... :)

I dont really like to deal in abstractions, so until you can come up with a specific example of Democrat voters interfering with Reoublican primaries, this just comes across as a deflection

Hey, if the DNC is going to cheat their own election and keep Bernie from winning, and repeat what the did in 2016 all over again. I’m perfectly ok with it.

  7. I wasn't speaking to the primaries specifically, I was speaking to the last 3 years of bullshit. Our country could have made a lot more progress, even on feel-good issues. Instead, we get a badly implemented coup disguised as an impeachment.

  8. They have been for many years. During the Obama administration they became the party of capitulating. Even turncoat Romney was MIA on election week when he was supposed to be running against Obama.

But really, both parties have been sabotaging each other's telephones since the late 19th century. It's not something new except that the crew of alleged Trump supporters who did this chose a novel target instead of just bogging down the switchboard at the DNC.

  9. From what i just read it sounds like that the Democrats are a bunch of bullies that really got shown up as that in this impeachment trial.

There's a lot to unpack here
I dont think it's worth the effort though, plus I dunno what the (constitutional process of) impeachment has to do with my link.

  12. Not really. The last 3 years has been a childish display of Washington cronies who were humiliated by Trump and decided to retaliate. All of that has been laid bare. Not that it matters, none of them will ever admit defeat and will double down exponentially.

I know, I know. Trump has never done anything wrong, he's totally sane, no authoritarian tendencies, totally just cares about the good of all american people, totally respects the rule of law, has a completely functional administration, blah blah blah nothing to see here just look away from the man behind the curtain
It's pointless to discuss this with you

  14. Oh I never said that. I only said he's not actually Hitler, he's not trying to be the first American dictator and he's not actually a racist at all.

Politically, I think he's still a corporate tycoon in way over his head. But then, so is most of Washington these days. Look at the straws being grasped by the old line cronies, not just Pelosi and Schumer, but also McConnell and Ryan. They all know their time as establishment shills is winding down.

The thing is that I don't see them being replaced by anyone better. Everyone is getting more extreme...not good imo.

  16. I honestly think it's because they are all so fucking OLD. Just imagine how set in their ways a 65, 70, 80 year old politician can be. And how would we know which ones have dementia when so many of them are spewing either crazy or childish shit? Look at all the aged entertainers, milking their original roles for all they can get while keeping a tight lid on the younger competition.

  17. I see Trump as somebody who is suffering from Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
He's too up himself to understand what harm he is doing to everyone else around him

A lot of the words in that statement have variable definitions. For example, how are you defining successful?

People who’ve been professionally successful in their careers and talents.

One thing all these people had in common was they loved themselves. And they believed in themselves.

I’ve spent time around plenty of successful people who have this mentality. Sometimes they are a little bit too into themselves, but the more pleasant ones had social filters to hide some of their narcissism.

I’ve also spent lots of time around unsuccessful people. One thing they all had in common was a misery-loves-company mentality, and heavy self doubt. Many of them found happiness by escaping sobriety
