Why don't you post the picture of Trump in that Russian hotel room?

The irony of a self described libertarian calling someone else naive

As for that last part. You're arguing against a government monopoly on insurance. You're arguing that we should continue to pay an unnecessary middle man and we should continue to have the most expensive healthcare in the world just for the sheer sake of having a privatized insurance system. It's a nonsensical argument.

See lode's explanation. You're wrong. It's a fact russian troll factories were full of people who's entire job it was to influence the US election and political consensus.
100% false. Wishful thinking I guess.. You can state it like that, but it says more about you than me.

That's indeed a far simplier explanation. But it's a fact Russia tried to influence the american election. I'm not stating this to be coy or to annoy or to influence the debate in a particular way, I'm stating it because its proven to be real. I don't know why you parry this. Really, it's because your own posting style we can't take you seriously half of the time.

Its was only 3000 ads over 2 years

    470 accounts

And for the most part they were using viral marketing techniques, not direct ones - pro gun talk, anti gay talk etc

Thats the scale, and in a country of 330 million, thats sweet FA

Automation to create accounts, but no automation exists that gives responses to viral queries

An Update On Information Operations On Facebook - About Facebook

Examples of the suspicous ads in question:

HPSCI Minority Exhibit A | Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence

An ad seemingly from an LGBT group asking you to colour in a buff Bernie Sanders is somehow influencing the election in Trumps favour.

I rather shoot myself in the head than go with stormountainman, but about your statement: i think it depends greatly on your exact surroundings and why and in what circumstances you're there. Some areas and big cities seem not so bad, others so traditional and religious conservative you may notice and be subject to it on a daily basis. But its not like Saudi Arabia

Interactions on social media are mostly math.
Make a Facebook buddy, send requests to all their friends and some will just say yes. Join groups and have your boys all like and comment on each others content which social media algorithms reward.

    Step one: Login
    Step two: Join group
Step three: Make list of all members
Step four: Send all members friend request
Step five: post some bullshit which makes people mad
Step six: Like and share your other bots content.
Step seven: Repeat a few million times

You don't know if it was for the most part. And viral marketing techniques never work? Like it suddenly doesn't count as russian interference because it was partly merely viral marketing techniques? :p

Are you really serious or arguing just because you can think of some empty counterargument that only holds up superficially or sounds good rhetorically?? This is btw a rhetoric question. It's pretty damn clear.

The main reason why the cost and quality of healthcare sucks in America is because the government meddled with it in the first place.

But the left loves it when the state fails, because they can say it doesn’t have enough money to do better the next time around, and use it as an excuse to raise taxes and take more power.

The left also loves it when the state succeeds, so they can use it as an excuse to raise more taxes and take more power.

If we had some sensible right leaning convo partners on here you would (and should) be completely left behind in these discussions. That there's a lack of them is the main reason people still respond to your drivel.

Influencing the election were your words. The goal is probably to amplify internal american political strife. Like an army of Vanilla Gorilla's. ;) But you care about your side.

Bought a few thousand adds, used tons of fake accounts every social media account leads to billions of interactions.

And Morocco, and (if it wasn't for all the unrest and danger atm) a lot of middle eastern countries as well, actually really appeal to me as travel destinations. So that's not it.

Well, this is what Russian interference in the election looks like

No direct mention of Trump, or the election, hence viral

This from the Army of Jesus no less
    [IMG]
A whole 14 clicks on this one

    Laughable

The social media ads Russia wanted Americans to see

The conspiracy theory works, especially in your case, because you want to believe american are just dumb enough to be influenced by that, the whole 14 of them that clicked on the ad that is

And its been over 3 years now, of you buying into the whole russians influenced the 2016 US election thing, without trying to find out what Facebooks investigation said. No doubt the first time youve even seen these ads the US election was so dramatically

Much like the Paris accords were 4 years ago and in that time you never spent the 30 seconds it takes to google what your own countrys emission target is
