I like elephants. If I could have one vehicle it would be an elephant. Nothing says "get outta my way!" quite like an elephant. :)

I can't find anything that says they're the same company, and both currently exist.

Granite packs look good, but not as good as the one you posted. A woman I met a few weeks ago had a 30 year old pack that was similar. Most of the new ones, even Osprey, can't imagine lasting that long.

I miss my mammoth ivory Irminsul pendant. :( I still have it but the necklace bit broke and I don't want to ruin the ivory trying to drill it back out.

    Wire wrap it, maybe?
Might not look right but that's your call.

Well let's take a look at the Irminsul.
So where I circle in red is the centre where the loop was for a necklace. I have drawn a birds eye view of it lol. So I'd have to drill down the centre to remove what's snapped in there which I illustrated in yellow. Hehe Then it is possible to screw in something bigger but I also don't want to ruin the integrity of the ivory itself.

I could take it to a jewelry place maybe that can do something. But we are only talking a couple of mm thickness too.

    Christmas tree ornament now.

There was another type of war elephant too I think, in the ancient days that someone uses to take down a city? I'm thinking Hannibal I know he walked war elephants 10,000km over Alps but at the same time I don't think I'm thinking of him.

    Mammoth looks better than Mastodon.

I don't think war elephants were very reliable I often hear that they would scare easy and turn on their own soldiers. I guess from a morale point of view the enemy would be in dismay at knowing elephants were coming. Kinda like the howizterwerf thing from Germans in WW2. Completely innacurrate and considered useless however the noise and the smoke and the bombardment would make the enemy run run away and disband in fear.
