Well, the thread is wondering about...

But let me add on evolution:
    Evolution is fact, period.
All animate things change, or evolve. (For that matter so do all inanimate objects.)
Animate objects can evolve, or change, for an advantage, or disadvantage. If the disadvantageous change is too great, the species becomes extinct.

Animal breeding is a good example of evolution.
The animals evolve through selective breeding.

What can be disputed is the mechanisms that bring about evolution, not evolution itself.

You want to talk Islam with me on a Trump Acquittal thread? Why don't we talk about Trump's unrestrained narcissism?

I think Republicans evolved by way of narrow non-selective breeding.

I genuinely believe Stor has some racist tendencies in that he assumes Muslims must look a certain way based on the stereotypes, and therefore passes Islam as a race.

If Obama was a Muslim, then why did he swear into office on a Bible? A true Muslim like Ilhan Omar swore into office on a Quran.

Evolution is a valid science that actually occurs. Evolution happens much faster in microbiology, and scientists have witnessed it. Germs and bacteria can reproduce and create several generations in a short time lapse. These new generations of microbes often evolve to be resistant to medicines and chemicals that were used to combat and kill them off, and cure the ill. Quinine used to be what cured Malaria, but now there are modern strains of Malaria that have evolved to be resistant to quinine. Not only do we see evolution in bacterium, but we see it in insects and pests that evolve a resistance to pesticides.

Evolution is not a theory or a hypothesis. It's proven at this point, at the dismay of the religious zealots.

OK … well … Trump was not acquitted. Nancy Pelosi said his Senate removal trial was all fake since they didn't allow witnesses or evidence. So Trump wasn't acquitted or exonerated by any stretch of anyone's imagination. Moreover, Trump blocked all witnesses and refused to comply with all subpoenas from the House Of Representatives. That sure made him look guilty, in my opinion. Now wee see how he attempts to block court cases and interfere with sentencing processes. Everything says he is running an organized crime operation right out of the White House. Did you see that 1100 former prosecutors have asked for William Barr to go get another job? It think they see how crooked that entire band of thugs is!

I think that would come as a great surprise to Sir Isaac Newton.

Because per the canon of Islam, it is ok to lie to the kuffar if it advances Islam.

Omar had never hidden the fact that she was Moslem. Obama carefully hid is Moslem identity.

A little known fact about Obama- and I have this from someone who worked at the White House. Early in his administration, the kitchen staff prepared some pork dish for the Obamas' dinner. They were given clear instructions not to serve pig again.

"United States Department of Justice, also known as the Justice Department, is a federal executive department of the United States government, responsible for the enforcement of the law and administration of justice in the United States, equivalent to the justice or interior ministries of other countries. Wikipedia
    Headquarters: Washington, D.C., United States
    Employees: 113,114 (2019)
    Number of employees: 113,114 (2019)"

This kind of thing pops up now and then, happened with the immigration thing, and of course with 9/11

113,000 current DoJ employees, probably X 3 former employees. Finding 1100 Democrat partisans isn't that big a deal. Just saying they worked for Republican administration's doesn't mean they haven't always voted Democrat

Just like finding 1% of garage/barn architects signing up for 9/11 conspiracies doesn't mean anything

So a petition where you got 0.3% of former DoJ employees to sign is another way of saying it

Given that I am not “white”, your comment is as false as it is idiotic. Your denigration of rural Americans (at least the “white” ones) is wholly despicable, but more or less what I would expect of a faux-elite like yourself.

Newton contributed inductive reasoning to science, not the scientific method. That is he generalized from specific to general. All the swans we have seen are white, therefore all swans are white.
Newton develop a hypothesis that was tested by observation, and the hypothesis was considered true, or proven, if the observation supported the hypothesis.
The problem is our means of observation change over time and Newton's theory of gravitation was found to only hold under certain observations, it isn't absolutely true.
The scientific method goes beyond inductive thinking to include deductive thinking.

How anyone can say that the man who basically invented calculus (while "standing on the shoulders of giants") to develop his monumental and original theory of gravitation is quite beyond me. Newton had certain observations that he wanted to explain, he came up with a hypothesis and, incredibly, developed the mathematical tools to explain it. His theory was- and is- widely applicable and, importantly, has predictive power in its realm of applicability.

Your comment that Newton's theory of gravitation holds only under certain conditions is true, but irrelevant to the point of discussion. The same is true of Special Relativity. Scientists don't speak in terms of "absolutely true", at least when they are speaking as scientists.

Your comment leaves me utterly unpersuaded. I think you are expounding nonsense on stilts. I'd be interested if we have any physicists here to weigh in.

Sorry, that first sentence was, well, nonsense. I MEANT to say:

How anyone can say that the man who basically invented calculus (while "standing on the shoulders of giants") to develop his monumental and original theory of gravitation DID NOT ENGAGE IN DEDUCTIVE REASONING is quite beyond me.

Sorry for the confusing response- I wish HP gave commenters more time to edit their comments!
