"WASHINGTON – A national association of federal judges has called an emergency meeting Tuesday to address growing concerns about the intervention of Justice Department officials and President Donald Trump in politically sensitive cases, the group’s president said Monday.

Philadelphia U.S. District Judge Cynthia Rufe, who heads the independent Federal Judges Association, said the group “could not wait” until its spring conference to weigh in on a deepening crisis that has enveloped the Justice Department and Attorney General William Barr.

“There are plenty of issues that we are concerned about,” Rufe told USA TODAY. “We’ll talk all of this through.”

Rufe, nominated to the bench by President George W. Bush, said the group of more than 1,000 federal jurists called for the meeting last week after Trump criticized prosecutors' initial sentencing recommendation for his friend Roger Stone and the Department of Justice overruled them."

"Roger Stone, the longtime confidant of Donald Trump whose criminal conviction angered the president and led to the turmoil engulfing the Justice Department, is making another bid for a new trial.

The move by Stone's defense team was disclosed by U.S. District Court Judge Amy Berman Jackson in an order Friday, but the motion itself remains secret.

"It's under seal, so I can't discuss it," Stone attorney Grant Smith said Friday.

Last November, a jury convicted Stone on all seven charges he faced: five counts of lying to Congress, one of obstructing a congressional investigation and one of witness tampering."

After delays, Trump on track to build more than 450 miles of border wall

"After years of setbacks, President Donald Trump is on track to build more than 450 miles of a wall along the southern border within the year, the White House says, making good on a campaign pledge as he seeks reelection.

“The project will substantially be done by the end of the year or early next year,” Jared Kushner, the president’s son-in-law and senior adviser, said in an interview Friday with POLITICO. “That was a promise, and it’s important that it’s now being accomplished.”"

 

U.S. taxpayer money is being spent on an ineffectual wall in no-man's land that could have addressed eight recent bankruptcies in the coal mining industry (whose export market was damaged by Trump's trade war). Trump wants others to believe that the problems were caused by immigrants coming across the border and stealing all the good jobs away from Americans.

The money could have been used to remedy the insolvent pensions of coal miners and auto workers in states like Wyoming, W. Virgininia, and Michigan (a swing state Trump barely won). It could have been spent bailing out farmers damaged by Trump's trade war in states such as Wisconsin (another swing state he barely won). Trump is hoping voters in those states will feel protected by his vanity wall.

Bailing out the farmers and coal miners under Trump has cost U.S. taxpayers about $38 billion.

Trump's wall is estimated to cost $25 billion, money that could have been spent on effective security programs such as tracking illegal drugs transported through the mail system which is a major problem. Instead, Trump is building his 'transparent wall' so that, as Trump says, Americans on the other side won't be hit on the head with 60 lb bags of drugs that were thrown over it by smugglers.

 

I don't think it's the fan base people are attacking, nor the driver. It's the politician who's shamelessly playing them. You know, the one you featured in all those splashy NASCAR adds. Working for the Trump campaign now?

 

Next up: Trump does a series of photo-ops with NASCAR racers standing in front of his border wall with a race car and his Presidential limo, a plane overhead flying a banner 'Promises Kept', and a photo of Air Force One with a crowd of people taken in 2004 during the G.W. Bush administration.

Trump can take it one step further by putting it all on the cover of a fake Time magazine and hanging it on the wall of his resorts.

Trump referred to his days of promiscuous sex as his risk that he thinks was greater than those taken by the ones who served in the Vietnam war which he would never do.

Trump relegates the sacrifices of Vietnam war troops to providing him with the freedom to have risky sex.while they fought and to endowing him with the blessing to later use Vietnam POW's as political punching bags even after their death.

He says he'd run unarmed into a school shooting but would run in the opposite direction, like he did with Vietnam.

 

Unfortunately for Melania, she chose to marry Trump and bear his child so that she could obtain U.S. citizenship for herself which she later quietly used to bring her father and sister to the U.S., the anchor baby and chain migration approaches that Trump is so against.

It's not surprising that Merlania is quiet about her foreign roots and that she hasn't released any of her immigration documents to try to show that she is a model citizen who did everything by the law.

Fraud Guarantee is an oxymoron name for a company associated with Trump's underworld agent, Giuliani.

With the association of that company with Giuliani, it's not a guarantee against fraud but rather a guarantee that fraud will happen.
