Scientific studies into deja vu have been illogical and prove nothing. I'm sure the scientists themselves would readily admit that, but the media wants to sensationalize everything. Maybe you could stimulate my brain into believing I was riding a roller coaster; that wouldn't mean roller coasters don't exist. As of yet, there has been no evidence whatsoever that science has ever synthesized a true feeling of deja vu. It would be debatable what true deja vu even is, and I think people, like myself, who have experienced true deja vu, would say it is absolutely nothing like having a memory of a similar experience. A surrendering "yeah, that's probably what it is" answer isn't always the simplest answer.
