White House officials made it sound like Trump canceled a visit to the CDC so as to not interfere with its operations. Trump's trip was canceled because of a suspected case at the CDC which later turned out the be negative. Trump's trip to the CDC is on again after finding out the case was negative. Trump cancels, then re-reschedules trip to CDC after coronavirus scare Trump will visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta on Friday as the coronavirus outbreak escalates. By ANITA KUMAR 03/06/2020 07:39 AM EST Updated: 03/06/2020 02:05 PM EST Trump cancels, then re-reschedules trip to CDC after coronavirus scare excerpts: "They thought there was a problem at CDC with somebody that had the virus," Trump told reporters Friday morning. "It turned out negative so we are seeing if we can do it. They've tested the person fully and it was a negative test. So I may be going. We're going to see if they can turn it around with Secret Service. We may be going." Earlier on Friday, a White House official confirmed the president's visit had been scrapped but for a different reason. “The CDC has been proactive and prepared since the very beginning and the president does not want to interfere with the CDC’s mission to protect the health and welfare of their people and the agency,” the official said.
The thing about this whole CDC visit is I feel it's done entirely for optics. Because what is President Trump going to add to the CDC? Morale??
Trump campaign sues CNN for libel, seeking millions of dollars By Ebony Bowden and Priscilla DeGregory March 6, 2020 | 3:24pm https://nypost.com/2020/03/06/trump-campaign-sues-cnn-for-libel-seeking-millions-of-dollars/ excerpt: "WASHINGTON — President Trump’s re-election campaign filed a libel lawsuit against CNN on Friday — the third such suit against a media organization in the last 10 days. The suit, filed in US District Court, alleges that CNN intentionally published “false and defamatory” statements about the Trump campaign seeking help from Russia to win the 2020 election. The complaint says it stems from an opinion piece posted on CNN.com on June 13, 2019, by Larry Noble and headlined, “Soliciting dirt on your opponents from a foreign government is a crime. Mueller should have charged Trump campaign officials with it.” It was labeled as an opinion piece and featured a disclaimer that Noble is a CNN contributor but the commentary is solely his own view."
Christopher Steele is saying much of what he told Mueller's team was left out of the Mueller report. He is saying the DOJ was dishonest. He is saying they did not track the money trail back to Russia.
Mike Pence hasn't seen this much action since Trump sent him to an NFL game in Indianapolis (at the cost of $325,000 to the U.S. taxpayers) so that he could intentionally walk out when one of the players didn't stand for the national anthem, just to satisfy Trump's need to try to stick it anyone who doesn't conform to his culture war, in-group/out-group, pathological mindset. video: SNL Mike Pence spoof
Donald J. Trump ✔@realDonaldTrump The Dems are working hard to take the prized nomination away from Bernie. Back room politics, which Bernie is not very good at. His people will not let it happen again! 65.1K 7:28 AM - Feb 29, 2020
Not Mueller, William Barr and a Federal Judge on Friday came to the same conclusion that Barr mischaracterized the report
We live in Washington State and are fortunate to have Governor Jay Inslee as our Governor. He actually is an adult and is a competent leader as that our State is dealing with a very serious health issue. What a contrast to Trump and his ignorant cheap political drivel.
Donald Trump’s effort to sow discord in the Democratic Party is painfully obvious – and brilliant COMMENT Donald Trump delivered the line with his usual level of subtlety. “It’s being rigged against – it’s sad, it’s being rigged against crazy Bernie. Crazy Bernie’s going to go crazy. Crazy. I think crazy Bernie’s going to be more crazy when they see what they’re doing,” the President told a stadium full of fans in Charlotte, North Carolina. They loved it, obviously. But they weren’t the target audience. Mr Trump was really speaking to the millions of voters who support “crazy” Bernie Sanders and want him to be the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee. The President’s rally speeches are typically long, meandering streams of consciousness without much point, beyond eliciting cheers from his adoring public. This was different. This was trolling with a purpose. Mr Trump has been repeating the same basic message all week. “It’s rigged against Bernie. There’s no question about it. Sounds like it’s a little bit unfair,” he said before boarding Marine One. “I don’t know what's happened with Bernie. I think they’re trying to take it away from him. I don’t know if that’s fair,” he said during a coronavirus briefing. I don’t often say this, but look at Mr Trump’s Twitter feed. You’ll detect a common theme The President’s confected outrage on Mr Sanders’ behalf is laughably transparent – and politically brilliant. Donald Trump’s stroke of genius
Inslee is a great leader, and a great protector of our fragile environment. Muslim Americans like and support him because he stands for equality. Muslim Americans think Trump is a bigot and a supporter of ethnic cleansing in Israel, and India.
I don't know what Australians get for news but in America we all know William Barr chopped the Mueller report before it was released. Now a judge is looking at it because the judge believes Barr was dishonest. Steele who wrote the dossier is saying much of what he told Mueller's team was left out. What that means is that Barr edited the Mueller report to make Trump look good. Barr was protecting Trump. After the November election and the January inauguration they will likely both be arrested.
Trump cancels a visit to the CDC because he is afraid of one possible case at the CDC, yet he's completely confident that his rallies won't spread the disease. Trump should make his CDC visits campaign rallies. It would make him feel safer.
Trump Is Counting on the Supreme Court to Save Him The president’s remarkable lawsuit against his own accountants and bankers can succeed only if the conservative majority intervenes on his behalf. David Frum March 7, 2020 Trump Is Counting on the Supreme Court to Save Him excerpts: "Although Trump is suing his accountants and his bankers as a private citizen, his case has been joined by the Department of Justice. Solicitor General Noel Francisco has signed an amicus brief on behalf of the United States. It is an astonishing document. It invites the Supreme Court to junk two centuries of precedent—and to substitute an entirely new system of judicial review of congressional subpoenas that involve a president." "As the House of Representatives noted in the brief it filed, previous Congresses have obtained the bank records of Presidents Andrew Johnson and Jimmy Carter, and the tax records of President Richard Nixon. They have read the diaries of President Ronald Reagan and the law-firm billing records of first lady Hillary Clinton. It’s never before been the law that a subpoena of the president must be authorized by “the full chamber,” much less that this authorization be “unequivocal”—whatever that means. It’s never before been the law that the president’s privileges—whatever they are—also extend to his private business agents. It’s never before been the law that the courts set themselves over Congress as scrutinizers of its subpoenas, approving or disapproving. Until now, instead, courts have always extended the utmost deference to congressional investigations, from the first Washington administration onward."
