Stay safe. I wasnt trying to make light of it, my mom is over 65 and sort of frail. I get it. I guess I'm just a little dismayed at the panic buying, the way stocks have tumbled, the threat of closing schools hanging over everyone's head. I'm one of the lucky ones because I have sick leave and can also work from home but this could be really disastrous for people in the US with no sick leave.
We should take every precaution to protect the elderly but just in a controlled, unpanicked way

 

Not sure we know how to do this in the US...

Lol! I know. I have a friend who lives in NYC and she said no one seems to care lol They’re wearing masks and just going about life. She said we have other things to worry about (crime, etc)

 

I often go to Saint Patrick's Day celebration in Colorado.

Well the White House said that the warm weather will kill it or at least slow it down. If that is true , then why is it popping up in warmer areas of the country ? I feel that the mis-information being issued by the Trump Adm. is doing more harm then good.

 

I wonder how many people know that the virus is roughly 1 micron in size and that most of the masks that people are using are useless for anything that small.. If anyone ever used a mask before they would know that after a hour or two the mask needs to be changed out for a new one. The moisture from your breath degrades the mask and it stops working as it should. Most of the masks that people are using are nothing more then just a security blanket to make them feel that they are doing something to protect themselves.

 

Not only that, the masks are actually a cesspool of disease and can actually spread the disease. If they are not effective, and the ones who have the virus are suppose to wear them when they go out, what is the point of self quarantine if you can simply go out to spread it?

personally, I always have had a love for the look of gas masks, I would prefer wearing one of those over a mask. Also wouldn’t mind walking around In a hazmat suit with a giger counter for a laugh.

Thanks. Governor Inslee is in the process of addressing the points you raised (and they are very important). Our State is looking the economic issues and real potential for hardship for many families. Also of importance is the school issue. We have a friend who was called in to substitute teach in Shelton, wa. At the end of the day she found out the person she was substituting for was in quarantine because her husband was one first responders in Kirkland. As of today we have two more care facilities with residents testing positive. My partner and I are just staying put at home with the realization that this may go on for quite a while.

 

Wrong. WE real Americans care. In fact, just today a 3 judge panel at one of our appeals courts ruled the DOJ must turn over the original Mueller report in its original UNREDACTED FORM … to Congress. This fight has been going on for a year. WE are not going to quit or let up no matter how creative Republicans become during evasive tactics.
