It's tough to understand because this disease has thus far been characterized as a cold or flu-like disease that won't kill you if you're healthy.

This doctor wasn't unhealthy that we know of, so what's the story?

We have a friend who has a classic rock band that plays in Indian casinos around the US. Last month we followed him to AZ for part of his tour. We wouldn’t do that today. But the virus is a real economic threat to his band now.....we and his other groupies need to figure out ways to provide economic support if he can’t play concerts.
In a broader sense the govt. needs to provide support for the millions of others who are economic victims of the pandemic.

The NCAA's March Madness will be played without fans because of coronavirus fears. In fact, the tournament could be postponed or cancelled altogether.

When this whole thing settles down they are going to find a bunch of people everywhere that were never "counted" in official reports. Older people that just died at home.... No family to check on them, no job to be "missing" from.

 

I am working going to work remotely for a bit, almost all of my human interactions at work are via MS Teams anyway.

Check on your elderly neighbors, y'all. Just wash your hands before you do it and no coughing or sneezing on them.

 

Good point. My neighbor is 90 years old. She used to teach me to cook when I was a teenager. She lost her husband a couple years ago and is now alone. Every morning when i leave the house shes just on her front porch chilling. Yesterday my school canceled all classes so I didn't leave the house this morning so I didnt get to see her so I dont know if shes ok. This post made me realize I should go check on her

 

Interesting none of the adult events have been called off...
At least none that I'm following..stds for all..
