Trump's Response to COVID-19

The President has degraded the office more than anyone in history. What respect did so many Republicans show to PRESIDENT Obama? Trump needs to earn our respect.

 

All of this vitriol towards Trump isn't helping anything either, though. It just makes him look halfway normal.

 

The "vitriol" is a response to the efforts of Trumpsters to wrap their Dear Leader in the flag.

 

The Republicans on here have been using obscenities since 2013 that I know of.

 

As the late Huell Howser would say "that's amazing".
Note: don't know if you heard of him, but he used to travel all over California looking for obscure places. He had a very popular half hour show on the teevee.

Remember the Congressman at Obama’s State of the Union yelling “you lie”, the Senate majority leader saying “my job is to break you”. Who by any stretch of the imagination could say the Republicans can even open their mouths about deserved criticism of Trump.

Feels like maybe they ought to change the language of the bill to include oversight of corporate bailouts, include a part about no firing/no golden parachutes, and send the checks to the people.

The behavior of the republicans suggests that they do not understand the premise of oversight. It's their refusal to change the language of the proposal that's holding up the 'ok'.

& I can see why there would be questions raised about government control of business - but NOT in the context of the bailout or its funds.

 

Also, I can see what republicans are saying as far as the student loans.

For as long as the virus/unemployment persists, I can see postpoining student loans; not forgiving. I see that it's a source of revenue. If we forgive student debt, perhaps it should be for other reasons.

There are plenty of students who genuinely can't afford their Sallie Mae. But I think, for some of us anyway, it's more realistic for us to do our part, pay what we can, and really hope for the best.

 

Now, you know any bill written by Republicans will be a complete bailout of corporations, bonus checks for the rich donors, and squat for the middle class workers. As far as the disabled and working poor, well, you know those people should have just died years ago anyways, so they should just get on with it...

Oh, and any healthcare needed for this virus if you are unlucky enough to catch it, well here's a big "fuck you"... pay for it your own damned self.

It is after all, all about "fiscal responsibility"...



And if the Republicans don't get their way, it's all the fault of those "damned do nothing Democrats"....

The news says Trump is weighing lifting restrictions so that the economy can resume. I think it's a terrible idea! We'll all die...
