I dont really want my check.
I feel super fucking privileged to be able to work from home and would rather it go to someone who needs it

I'll be fine. I just kinda think what Mel said, give more to the people who actually can't work because of CV.

He said it two days ago. To be accurate, what he said was he hoped it would be over by then and the churches would be packed and people going back to work. That's such a wildly optimistic goal, that goes against the grain of everything experts know about the virus, that it's irresponsible. Most politicians are more nuanced in their predictions.

He said the U.S. is number one! (in corona deaths). That's a fact, ma'am, and it seems to be intelligent to be concerned and upset about it. The fact that you support the President is highly reflective of your own intellect--not in a good way.

It's spreading fast around New Orleans Louisiana. I have a friend who lives there. New Orleans Jazz Festival has been postponed.

Today March 26, 2020 we celebrate the one month anniversary of Donald Trump’s famous quote "We have 15 cases of Coronavirus, and will soon have none”

Today America surpassed China in cases of the Coronavirus at 81,321, and If current trends continue we’ll far surpass every nation on earth for the most deaths from this pandemic.

As far as I can tell, your "thoughts" (and I use that word promiscuously) come with no considered rationale. They do come with plenty of mindless invective.

There is certainly room to criticize- not that you have done that. I think the Trump administration's response to this crisis- which everyone who studied the matter knew was just a matter of time- stands up well in comparison with team Obama's response to a flu epidemic of ten years ago. You would never know that listening to those chronically afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome.

This novel CCP virus is fairly serious, and will increase hysteria, morbidity, and mortality (in that order), but it's also a drop in the bucket. I doubt it will come close to the flu epidemic of 100 years ago. Certainly a mere drop in the bucket compared with past pandemics of plague.

I don't know that shutting down the economy is an optimal response to this epidemic. Oh, but the government will be there to help you. Right- and insolvent government is going to "bail out" a nation. The case can plausibly be made that this is virus is far from America's biggest threat:

I dont think back to work should be a big priority . Let this thing die down as much as possible stop spreading.

So much work really is non essential.

Problem is our system is people must do non essential work to get money to buy essential things.

That I don't know how to solve.

Do you remember the time when Kellyanne Conway, as she defended Trump, told Chris Cuomo of CNN: "There are facts and there are alternative facts." By now everyone should know the Trump presidency is based on Alternative Facts.
