Me either. An old acquaintance of mine has it. His family was well-off and I suspect he is able to afford medication, but we were drug buddies and no longer talk for the sake of sobriety. I don't think he even knows I know, nor have I confirmed with him that it's actually true. But I remember the call I got. And I just hope he's OK. But we were crazy and I can totally picture getting the virus from our crazy ways. We were using drugs intravenously when I stopped contacting him/all of them. so yea. not being detected... um
Its a little bit funny (this feeling inside) because we are both still working. So neither of us are self isolating And I have to admit to you if I had asthma I would be taking Bruce Dickinsons advice and ...Run.....to....tha....hills, ....Run...for...your....li-hi-hife Which ironically is a song about the white man wiping out Native Americans
The first friend I lost to HIV really went after it in the early 80s. He moved to LA, worked in gay porn and got hooked on heroin. About 9 months after his first signs he was dead and weighed 110lbs (he played football in high school). I was shooting meth a year or so later, but I never shared points. A small miracle I didn't end up the same.
And Trump is banned from operating a charity in the state of New York. That's pretty Christian right? To steal from kids. No will vote for for Biden. The right wing has a hate boner for him because they don't see this. You are literally in a cult. That's why you have to explain it all away as the "less of two evils" and you seem fudementaly unable to admit Trump's wrong doings. In the end he protects you from a scary world. I like the right's ignorant use of mental health terms. A "syndrome" of not liking Trump huh? If you have any education on mental health you would see how you can't simply say one you don't agree with is ill.
we were sharing a lot; using meth; bleaching sometimes... I was lucky. It was a suburb about fifty miles north of Los Angeles which at that time wasn't very big. We still knew better, but I guess mostly thought we were invincible...
Hillary's joke has been made by many. And by the way I didn't miss your reference to Hillary murdering people in a previous post you made in this thread. Trump was warned about pandemics. What did he do?
i had teammates who weighed 120. i weighed 145 when i graduated, and i played defensive end/offensive guard. of course, that was a small school.
it's unnecessary and more than a little weird. I feel like there's cronyism at play with that one because of the amount of money required to amass that kind of real estate. And the freaking president owns real estate; though I believe I read somewhere he can't benefit from any of the bailouts. I'll bet that one's the exception though. Oh well...
Socialism for the rich and brutal capitalism for the poor. Maybe if these corporations cut down on the Starbucks and learned how to budget they would be doing ok now. That is their logic against poor people. It's their fault they are broke because sometimes life is hard so you should have a nest egg. The money we have already used to bail them out would have cleared student debt in the country. There was "no money" for that and it's crazy socialism to even suggest it according to the same people who just found that money.
That's true. But I'm thinking we would be in trouble anyway if we didn't bail out failing industries; without which we wouldn't have airplanes to fly in. Lol. I'm mostly afraid of flying anyway, but that's a selfish way to think on it if I'm honest.
Some sort of bail out is needed. It's just interesting to me how fast and effortless it is when it's for billion dollar corporations and how crazy it is for the average person.
Arrgh- I don't like the idea of compulsory vaccination for adults. Your life, your risk. I am concerned we have crossed some lines in terms of civil liberties in the form of "Well we think you might become sick, or you might become a carrier, therefore we are going to impose our preferred solution on you." BTW, I probably would get a vaccine for this when it becomes generally available. Would the next logical step be to say: based on your SQ (look it up it you don't know what that is- even better, read the short story) we think you are at risk of being homicidal. Therefore, we are going to require that you ... Lots of dimensions to this. Speaking to a physician friend who, listening to hospital chatter, thought this could become as deadly as the Spanish flu of 100 years ago (about 2.5% overall mortality) with a virus that has lower mortality but is somewhat more contagious. Are the preppers buying up all the fish tank cleaner yet?
So now it's Cuomo resisting the quarantine more than The Donald "But Mr Cuomo, who was holding a daily press briefing at the time of Mr Trump's comments on Saturday, expressed concern at the idea. "I don't know how that can be legally enforceable," he said. "And from a medical point of view, I don't know what you would be accomplishing." Trump 'considering quarantine on New York'
I hope I get a check. I don't thank Donald, or anyone, for this, though. They are simply protecting their own self-interests.
