Indeed. In this way he seems to emulate the captain from an old WW2 movie "All Boats Away". He needed to get the crew on the same page, so they could face the enemy with a clear mission. So he became a tyrant and worked them hard. He also had them build him a sailboat so he could show off his crew's devotion to the other ships. The film was fiction, but the methodology is taught at Annapolis and West Point as is Sun Tzu.

Making himself the center of attention seems to be something he's good at. Watching the left fall for virtually all of his shit is like watching a silent comedy.

Trump makes himself the center of attention, which I agree he's very good at. Watching the right fall for virtually all of his shit is alarming--looking more like the videos of Jonestown than a silent movie. It's your "Captain, my Captain" analogy that's ludicrous.

 

Just read that Kern County, California has fifty confirmed cases. How can that be? Kern county is trump country.
That there virus ain't suppose to be in trump country.

& I just don't feel like enough is being done. I keep seeing these reports that there isn't enough testing and it makes me really nervous. :-S

Understand, snowflakes don't like to be made nervous, and it's unfair that they should encounter situations that make them feel that way.

There is always more that could be done. But the test kits are beginning to be manufactured in sufficient quantity to address the legitimate need short of a nightmare scenario.

What they're doing in Asia is working. Both of South Korea and Japan are seeing results in terms of flattening the curve.

 

Not sure what your point is. Those cultures are generally more deferential to authority that is American culture: I will bet they don’t have CCP virus parties. And social distancing is a natural part of their culture, bizarre churches like the one in Daegu not withstanding. But we can definitely learn from them. Korea had a quick rollout oftentimes kits, whereas screwups in the supply chain left utter USA behind the curve there.

So there's a couple of products on the market that are in short supply. Lysol disinfectant spray is one of them. But, there is an alternative, and thanks to stupid marketing and a generally stupid public, there's a loophole and I want all of you to be aware of it.

First there's this stuff, it's not a disinfectant, so don't buy it (unless you have a beach etc):

This means that most people walk by this disinfectant, thinking it's sun screen!

So please fellow hippies, get some of this stuff and stay alive! Seriously, I need your abuse.
