I do believe it is a phantasm, despite how concrete it may appear. Nothing material lasts or stays put in all reality. Not even for a moment. And yet it's all real. I am a fan of Einstein's 4d block universe. I think the truth is that everything has an eternity that is beyond our conception of idealistic notions of what is eternal. And it is also a matter of what role awareness plays in an eternal universe. I often think of what would happen if two abstractions collided, like a needle touching a record.
Speaking of the universe we decided last night at 11:35pm to use all this downtime to binge watch the entire marvel universe. We're doing them in chronological order not release order. Started with the 1st Captain America last night. I forgot how badass that character is... dude running around ww2 fucking shit up with just a shield. That's cool. I would have taken a sword but hey that's just me
Honestly I believe the shield will make a come back in the military once they can make it like bullet proof etc. Since I've done shield training, I can say they're fantastic.
Marvel does a good job. DC is hit or miss. Instead of copying Marvel, they should be making everything real as Joker. That's just my opinion.
The historical inaccuracies bugged me tho. America tries so hard to erase its racist history. When Steve recuses Buckys unit there is a black soldier and Japanese among them. Nice try but the US army was segregated back then and African Americans and Japanese did not serve in racially integrated units Lol units I didnt even know there was such a thing. What is the discipline called?
City council passed the side yard bill.. which was my suggestion the other day along with others, it's to get that gardening programs on the foot..
I remember a lot of the shield training was about using the edge of the shield to come up on a guys chin. Like that was your simple step 1 of disarming someone. Fucken whack under the chin. If sword in hand it was 2x shield bash, one slash and get back behind it, 2x more smack to get them off balance then swing.
How stir crazy is everyone going? I don't think that I like working from home (at least in my particular career field-otherwise, it seems like a nice perk).
