Guess what life leads to death 100% of the time! We humans are omnivores not herbivores or carnivores. I love how vegans love to spread their holier than thou crap right up to when their health begins to fail and their doctor tells them to eat a balanced diet. Then they eat some meat and surprise they get healthy

Not this again.. I don't know what irritates me about this debate more, a cult like belief in misinformation or self righteous elitists with absolutely zero background in food science and nutrition telling the rest of us how to eat

I said the debate (in general) was irritating. The thread is actually quite entertaining. As far as a response, I don't have one. I'm not here to preach. Its pointless. This debate is like religion or politics. Its a belief structure and nothing, not logical debate or scientific proof, is enough to change someone's beliefs

There's a guy in north Jersey who farms insects and prepares them for eating. He's got one recipe where he injects cockroaches, I think it was, with teriyaki sauce.

Apparently certain spider legs taste like crab meat. Who knew?

I was going to make this connection when I read Orisons post. I know crabs and spiders are the same family but I don't recall if that means crabs are insects or if spiders are... not, I guess. But then it lead to this internal debate about imitation crab meat and I kinda lost my whole thought. But seriously tho why do we need to imitate crab meat? Real crab isn't hard to come by. They're awkward and slow moving creatures. They're not hard to catch. I guess imitation crab meat was the original impossible meat. Because apparently it was impossible to find crab

Well spiders are arachnids right? Not technically insects.

I figured with the crab meat thing it either has something to do with cost or maybe something to do with trying to decrease the need to take crabs out of the water? (I really didn't know how to word that last bit)
