That's one of the guys that did the Imperial College of London one

    What the media didn't tell you from that report;

"Perhaps our most significant conclusion is that mitigation is unlikely to be feasible without emergency
surge capacity limits of the UK and US healthcare systems being exceeded many times over. In the
most effective mitigation strategy examined, which leads to a single, relatively short epidemic (case
isolation, household quarantine and social distancing of the elderly), the surge limits for both general
ward and ICU beds would be exceeded by at least 8-fold under the more optimistic scenario for critical
care requirements that we examined. In addition, even if all patients were able to be treated, we
predict there would still be in the order of 250,000 deaths in GB, and 1.1-1.2 million in the US."

Modelling they did is already way off, but they predicted full lockdown only cuts number of deaths in half until August and you were going to get 1.2 million deaths anyway, but same number of deaths by February next year

That is, flatten the curve, but a flattened curve is 4 times as wide. Area under the curve, total number of deaths, about the same

Figure 3b in the report if no one believes me

"German Chancellor Angela Merkel has announced plans to slowly ease restrictions brought in to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

Social distancing rules will stay in place until at least 3 May, with Ms Merkel also recommending the use of face masks in shops and on public transport.

But as of next week shops under a certain size could open their doors.

And schools will gradually start to reopen from 4 May.

Ms Merkel said the country had achieved "fragile intermediate success" through the strict measures"

"The founder and boss of Amazon has seen his wealth swell by $24bn (£19bn) after soaring demand for online shopping sent the firm's share price to a new high.

Jeff Bezos now has a fortune of $138bn, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, cementing his position as the world's richest man.

Amazon has benefited from surging internet shopping by people forced to stay home during the Covid-19 outbreak."

"A mass exodus of older teachers aged over 60 and pregnant women from the nation’s schools is likely to be enforced for the next six months under a back-to-school plan being considered by political leaders.

As the national cabinet meets today to consider a battle plan to make schools safer for teachers, the Prime Minister has ramped up his call for teachers to return to the classroom.

But the push will come with some conditions, including guarantees that at-risk teachers can work from home, free COVID-19 tests for educators, more soap and hand sanitiser and a phased return to classes"

Coronavirus battle plan: Mass exodus of schoolteachers

Of course, if that's the plan to get schools back on track, everybody will start to wonder why that just isn't the plan for everything else
