(jimbee68) That is why I support the gradual abolition of meat. Besides being unsanitary and disgusting, it is also rather unhealthy. And it is not very economical (most of the investments ends up in the waste). That is why I think it will be thoroughly banned some day. It's inevitable. I dont think that will work, people are gonna eat what they want to. lets see you take BBQ away from beer drinking hell raising rednecks ……….
I'm willing to bet they mashed the avocado up and did that with a piping bag. It may even be green frosting
I have not eaten meat for many years and I'm fine. It's often a meat eaters stereotype that we are all unhealthy. Meat is actuly very unhealthy in large doses. Most predators don't have access to meat all the time. Most times the prey gets away even for tigers. Your doctor is not going to tell you to eat meat 100% of the time. Not even close to that. I can eat 100% plants and survive. You will not survive as long doing the same with meat. I've had meat eater gets offended at me a lot more often then I've seen the stereotypical sandal wearing hippie say "don't you love the cows man?" If you so bothered by feeling morally inferior for eating meat maybe it means you actuly like animals. Who cares what vegans say? Livestock is too expensive and they pollute. In the near future you are going to see the market overtaken with lab made meat. It's just going to be too expensive and bad for the planet to grow a cow so you can eat it. The price for a real animal will be so high it's not something a middle class person can eat often if ever. But the rednecks will not be able to tell the difference. Burger King already does it.
Hey there sista you seem in a better mood today. I used to be like you on a mood roller-coaster when I was consuming margarine. When I switched to butter I became a more contented person. I am sure it was the imputes to give up smoking. There is some science behind this .Low fat diets have been shown to be associated with depression. Trans fat has been shown to be associated with irritability. France has the highest per capita consumption of butter and the lowest rate of CVD in the world.
I think they were trying to make "down under" into a double entendre, referring to it in a sexual way instead of how you used it.
Vegetarianism has been shown to be associated with lower risks of varied forms of cancer, heart diseases and others. After a certain age of say 25-30, I would say it is better to stick with a vegetarian diet for health purposes. Reduced cancer risk in vegetarians: an analysis of recent reports https://www.mdanderson.org/publications/focused-on- health/vegetarian-diet-and-cancer-risk.h31Z1591413.html More plant protein tied to longer life On a personal note, after adopting vegetarianism for years, I have noticed that I am trimmer than my non-vegetarian relatives and friends who are fat and have bulging waistlines. It has also come to my observation that vegetarians on an average are trimmer and younger-looking compared to non-vegetarians. Vegetarianism has also been associated with reduced emission of global warming gases through the livestock industry. I also agree with the op in the gradual abolition of meat, and this should start with more conscious and sentient nonhuman species like the dolphin, bovine, horses, elephants, dogs and cats. These creatures provide humans with companionship and have shown to exhibit human charecterestics like empathy, loyalty, curiosity, affection, intimacy, fun loving nature and so on. By abstaining from killing and eating them, people can show that they highly value the positive qualities associated with such animals, and help foster such values in human society too.
we do not live in a universe that requires aggressive inconsiderateness however. nor is gender any kind of excuse for it.
Oh, you haven't 'lived' Sierra darlin' - nothing nicer than a hot-cross bun, warmed in the oven and then slavered in REAL butter !!!
Well, I do love freshly baked "everything" type bagels and real butter on them sounds like a good option, too... (when my favorite bagel place opens up again, that is...)
Go get some hot-cross buns from your local supermarket and try them - they actually contain cinnamon and the smell of that baking in the oven is delicious !!!
What. What about all the margarine eaters who are NOT on a mood roller coaster? Also everyone acts like margarine is really artificial but from what I can see on mine, it's just oils, water, salt.. Natural flavors and colours. I eat real butter too, not adverse, but for ecological reasons and my understanding of the impact dairy has on the planet, I'm happy to use margarine most of the time. And my moods are fine? As are my parents.. And many others. Be anti things, but not for made up reasons. It might partly be a UK thing, as I'm pretty sure trans fats are banned here. So there ain't any in my margarine : )
During my margarine years I would often try to quit smoking, something would go wrong and I would feel suicidal. The original Pritikin diet all nuts other than chestnuts off the menu as well as avocados - one of the healthiest foods on the planet. All because they contain fat.How dumb is that? Do you eat many avocados? Did you watch the YT video I posted up? You might like to read this, Lowfat Capitalism - The Weston A. Price Foundation
I eat tonnes of nuts and avocados and am slim. Agree that healthy fats are no issue. There is some more evidence for the cause.
