Put about a one inched deep cut into my log with chainsaw, split it straight away with the hydraulic wood splitter. Saw the wedge get in and expand and split. Good. Okay so I can use it. I'm going to have to sharpen the wedge a bit and set up a vice so I can contain the wood while I notch.
