You being fired for being lazy is in no way comparable to filming yourself or have an organized skit while on break if the hospital let's you. You broke the rules and we're consequently fired for it. These nurses are doing something fun to ease tension during a pandemic that isn't intrusive to their work. And judging from the reception from the public, your opinion that this is unprofessional is in the minority and in no way hurting the hospital's reputation.

at the beginning of April N.Y. opened free testing clinics. California just announced they will start doing testing 4 hours ago as well as talk of all parks and beaches being closed there. . I have no idea why you guys would be patting yourself on the back or where you get your info.

We were actually amongst the first states to close beaches and parks but then we opened them last weekend and apparently the governor was upset at seeing people at them so now he's closing them again.

well interesting. Why would the open beaches if they didn’t want people to go there? That is like saying, everything is fine now, you can go to the beach, as if they didn’t expect people to go there,.... it is what had people there patting themselves on the back it seems. Yeah, we are good kind of attitude. We can go to beaches and parks again. Have there been fines issued or anything like that in California for those who disregarded it? If so how much are the fines? Here in Canada we have fines and stuff for breaking doing it.

From what I gather, government thought there wasn't enough social distancing and since we have to wear masks practically everywhere we go while we're out, perhaps they didn't like the optics of not a lot of beach goers wearing masks.

 

funny regarding masks too. If they aren’t the right kind they are ineffective too. Also bringing home those masks, the outside of them are possibly carrying the viruses and can cause you to get sick. You can’t really clean them either. What kind of masks are you wearing there? The proper ones that are actually effective have a chemical in them that kills any and all viruses.

The point of any masks that are not N95, in terms of this coronavirus, is more to protect others than it is the person wearing it. It cannot stop the virus from being breathed in, but it can help prevent it from being aerosolized if the wearer coughs or "speaks moistly".

 

How is prancing around like an idiot in your scrubs at your place of work not hurting the hospital’s reputation? Anything posted online can be seen worldwide. Not to mention the entertainment factor of these videos are very sub-par and quite juvenile.

As I mentioned it was one of my first-ever jobs. Many years ago before when I was a lot younger. At least I wasn’t filming myself dancing around like an idiot and posting videos online at my place of work. But to be fair, back then the only way to do that would’ve been with a camcorder, and internet videos were slow as hell too.

Everyone online has access to see them. That’s who.

How is Orison criticizing health care workers for saving lives? Orison has compassion for the millions left to starve in China, anD die there in atrocious conditions from this virus. but hey, these nurses and doctors can all take their breaks? together and dance in China! Are healthcare workers in China saving anyone? I would say they are not. Not even sure this was done on breaks, my understanding is that people are sent to make shift hospitals with little to no care as they die. But nurses can dance in China.

(Not sure how it is known these are breaks, China can’t fire their Chinese healthcare warriors. They have to pose for photo ops and what not for the government)
