A fleet of 4 flew over me and my twin on Main Street in Springfield, MA fairly recently. I think they were heading east to Worcester. Speaking of Springfield...
Tired of Springfield? Well, yes. Short term it's all I can do. Take Covid19 away, fatten my wallet and I'd go to NY City.
[Photo credit: David Mocarsky] This is the Beehive Bridge, which carries Main Street in New Britain, CT. Looking west, taken from the Harry Truman Overpass (CT Route 71). The highway under the bridge is CT Route 72.
Didn't really take any pics IN Springfield per se today. Still don't know what they're building here.
At least the weather is manageable today. I walked over the Memorial Bridge into West Springfield to kill some time.
More... I aspire to see the spire...and silver dome of the Basketball Hall Of Fame. The "5 NORTH" paddle sign is using a state route shield. It should be a US shield like above. 1992? Trust me The bridge is much older than that. Looking generally north up the Connecticut.
More, The Sequel... Heh! Thickly settled. The urban landscape or their ladies of the night? The worn tracks which would take me south later on...
Damn Kevin! I-91 is on the viaduct above the little loved pagoda. Both the Student Prince and the regional lottery claim center were still closed. Springfield's PBS people on Hampden Street.
The rain hadn't reached downtown Hartford yet. So quiet on a Saturday afternoon. Walked east up Asylum Street, from Union Station (Greyhound/Peter Pan/Amtrak/CT Rail) to Main Street.
