Minneapolis Police Choke Handcuffed Man to Death

Discussion in 'Latest Hip News Stories' started by TheGreatShoeScam, May 26, 2020.

  1. The police did what they did. They thought they could get away with murder, but an uprising of true patriots taught them a lesson. And if you want more of this, all you've got to do is acquit. The emperor has no clothes. All you've got to do is strip him naked. We, the people, are powerful beyond your reckoning, and we will not tolerate fascism.

So if you've got a sweet little scheme, get ready for war, cause it's on brothers. We don't fear death THAT much.

That might’ve been liberalism 50 years ago. Nowadays when you have the education system, media, and liberal parents teaching kids to hate themselves. Such as teaching white kids that they are privileged and responsible for all the problems in society. Or telling little boys that their masculinity is toxic and must be taught not to rape. Or teaching minority kids that they are natural born victims and the system is rigged against them. You’re gonna raise a generation of fucked up people who hate themselves.

Teaching self loathing is child abuse

There's always a tendency to oversimplify these incidents, since lots of people find cognitive dissonance hard to handle. If Floyd was brutally murdered by cops, he must have been a saint. Same goes with Michael Brown and other victims killed by police. And if they weren't saints, some say, maybe the police can be excused. To some, prior videos of Brown suggesting thuggish behavior were enough to excuse the police behavior. Or take Trevon Martin. After he was killed by a civilian vigilante, defenders of the killing searched for anything in his background that could discredit him: He didn't look as young and innocent as the photo of him in the papers, , cuz that was taken years earlier, etc. . But I can't get past the photo of the cop on Floyd's neck. What is the explanation for that?

Or take that 75 year old white guy in Buffalo while the George Floyd demonstrations were going on, who was pushed down by police and hit his head on the pavement. And as he lay there in a pool of blood, police seemed to walk by. Last I heard he was in "serious but critical" condition. I guess from one point of view this shows equal opportunity brutality, since he was white. But you'd think police responding to a demonstration against police brutality would be careful not to appear brutal. The initial police report said he tripped. Only when the video footage appeared did they acknowledge he was shoved. Two of the cops were suspended without pay as a result, leading to the resignation of 57 Buffalo officers to protest the harsh treatment of the officers doing the shoving because they were "only following orders". WTF?. Was the old dude on drugs? Was he a cantankerous geezer? Did he steal cookies or shake down neighbor kids for their lunch money when he was in the third grade? Maybe so. Maybe not. Still hard to understand and justify the police behavior.

Note: this appears to be an incident by a woman who gives her name on social media. Her conduct is atypical, not typical "liberal" behavior, regardless of what Six says. He and other specialists in right wing agitprop scour the news and social media for such incidents, the better to inflame passions on behalf of their own ideological agendas. This woman reminds me of the pathetic Westboro Christians who have their kids of tender age holding signs "God hates fags" and other rot. And it is child abuse. But to photograph these kids and present it as typical Christian or conservative behavior would be to misrepresent reality. BTW, who says this woman is liberal and trying to use her daughter to protest white privilege? Maybe she's a right winger trying to satirize BLM by saying: "Look at this cute, innocent little girl. And they're trying to say she's bad and an example of white privilege." Which is it? We won't know, unless somebody asks her, and even then, maybe not.

Some cops- just shouldn’t be cops. There’s nothing in their law enforcement training that teaches them that any of these actions are acceptable.

As a matter of fact, most of my "comrades" are MAGA hat wearing Trump supporters. One wears a necklace of Confederate flags, so I'd have to leave him at home if there were any BLM protestors afoot. I'd hardly be interested in burning down an African-American neighborhood. I generally like African-Americans and want them to succeed. Your repeated suggestions that I'm some kind of Antifa operative are bizarre. Not many signs of Antifa out here. If we have them at all, they'd probably be in Norman, home of OU which is the more radical of our universities. Oklahoma Antifascists has a website with some 19,000 followers. Red Dirt Defense and the far-left, anti-fascist network called Redneck Revolt seem to be affiliates. But these seem to be relatively small groups dedicated to fighting fascism.

I happen to be a moderate Democrat, who favored Klobuchar, Bennett, Bullock, Delaney, and Hickenlooper in the primary race. Kamala Harris wouldn't be bad as Biden's running mate.

yes, in Minneapolis there are very large rehab facilities, all costs covered as long as you are in treatment and are not working but rent is cheap after you complete treatment, , in St. Paul too. Most in them have spent time in prison for their addictions, but more so for crimes they have committed to feed their addictions. People are moved there from other states for sober houses. Blocks of neighbourhoods have a lot of them as well as larger buildings with apartments for sober living/halfway houses,

I am 100 percent sure he didn’t just up and move from texas to MN. He was sent there to clean up his life, part of a court order deal. Now there are reports he was on something as well, not that this excuses the cop. It doesn’t, but papers after someone dies try to paint a positive picture, make them out to be angelic like. So a lot of will be left out. Willing to bet he had a record in MN as well.

fact is it appears George Floyd was a scumbag BUT that does not mean that Derrick Chauvin had the right to kill him if anything it meant he needed to bring him in serve his time or whatever, and as I said before in another thread if you dont play stupid games you dont get stupid prizes which again does NOT exonerate Chauvin its just a fact

  19. We live in a nation of laws. Cops aren't above those laws. And if rioting is the only way to see justice served, so be it. It doesn't matter that George wasn't a saint. The men who killed him must be held accountable. And if people just sit back and take it, they won't be. The courts have proven that time and again.
