A new round of civil unrest flares in Atlanta. Trump has a new potential participant for another White House grandstand photo-op like he did in 2017 with a group of sheriffs with sordid backgrounds. It's another opportunity threaten to send in the national guard under federal control and use unbadged officials to skirt the legal system. He could even tear gas people to do a photo-op in front of an Atlanta church while holding a Bible upside-down on a solemn historic date that commorates the lynching of African-Americans to try to show how much he supposedly cares about them.
No … Hunter Biden had a job with a good salary. Now I'm talking about Trump, who went about in a way that will be investigated by The Biden Administration. We have plenty evidence, and will get more in February 2021, right along with the taxes, business records, and Deutsche Bank loan records. Adam Schiff does know what he is doing. He is a real lawyer, not a Southern Baptist preacher.
Simple explanation - he was p*ssed !!! Watch the walk down ramp Donald Trump felt need to defend on Twitter PA Jun 14th 2020 7:50AM Donald Trump has defended himself on Twitter after he was filmed walking unsteadily down a ramp on Saturday. The US president appeared to be unsure of his footing as he walked away after delivering a speech at West Point Academy, prompting social media critics to question if it was a sign of failing health. However, Mr Trump wrote on Twitter that the ramp was "long & steep, had no handrail, and most importantly was very slippery". The ramp that I descended after my West Point Commencement speech was very long & steep, had no handrail and, most importantly, was very slippery. The last thing I was going to do is "fall" for the Fake News to have fun with. Final ten feet I ran down to level ground. Momentum! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) June 14, 2020 While users posted footage of the president's wobbly walk down the ramp, others pointed out his handling of a glass of water and mispronunciation of names, such as American general, Douglas MacArthur. Trump still hasn't totally figured out how to drink water
No, that's just the debt he's foisted on the American public. Some of his companies have gone 'bust' or are so heavily in debt, there is some doubt as to whether he is actually a Billionaire anymore.
Seriously? What has he accomplished? Not much positive. The economy would have been his major claim to fame, but it's now a mess, thanks to his inept handling of the Covid-19 crisis. Flagme and Meagain have provided lengthy lists of what he hasn't done. So I guess that leaves all the bad things he has done, and that is a daunting task--there being so many of them. I'll do this in installments, to allow myself time to recuperate and you time to mull it over. Historians evaluating the presidents usually address components that are associated with effective functioning. We can take those as a point of departure. Trump's leadership fits the authoritarian pattern--pushy, manipulative, conceited, and selfish.Leadership Lessons from Donald Trump This style has its fans, but is out of step with the mainstream of American democracy. How Trump Embodies The Definition Of A Bad Leader 1. Crisis leadership. Trump has faced three major crises in his first term as President: the nuclear threat from North Korea, Covid-19. and the George Floyd protests. He's bungled all three. He tried to resove the first crisis initially by sabre rattling and then by his embarrassing bromance with Kim, sucking up to the tyrant and bolstering his international prestige with little to show for it. Two days ago, Kim vowed to boost his nuclear program, saying that U.S. diplomacy failed.North Korea Vows to Boost Nuclear Program, Saying U.S. Diplomacy Failed We have a whole separate thread for the Covid crisis. His response parallels that of his dictator buddies Putin and Bolsinaro--an incoherent mix of denial, the blame game and attempts at deflection, leading to a significant drop in his poll numbers. Trump's coronavirus response is a 'denial' of science, experts and facts, John Kerry says His handling of the George Floyd crisis showed a similar pattern. After he emerged from his bunker, he launched a bellicose tweet storm, suggesting with no evidence that the 75 year old man who was pushed to the pavement by police might have been an Antifa conspirator, using police and military to attack peaceful demonstrators in D.C. to clear a path for his photo op with the Bible, and threatening to use the U.S. Armed forces to suppress the protests elsewhere in the country. Let's give him a big F on this component. 2. Domestic Policy. Trump presents himself as a populist, although economist Paul Krugman disputes this because his policies favor the rich over the disadvantaged. Opinion | Obama’s War on Inequality Trump's most significant accomplishment in domestic economic policy was to sign on to Paul Ryan's "tax reform", which mainly benefited corporations and the rich at the cost of a bigger debt. The Congressional Budget office predicted that the cuts would add another $1.9 trillion to the debt over the next decade, raising the prospect of cuts in entitlements if Trump wins wins in 2020. After promising to protect Medicare and Social Security, he presented a budget which would have cut the former by $ half a trillion and the latter by over $ 70 billion. His campaign to sabotage the Affordable Care Act has made health care less affordable for millions, at a time when the pandemic makes it more urgent. His environmental policy has been a disaster. pushing the extractive industries by reversing 100 environmental regulations, including not only Obama-era but even Nixon-era poliicies. The Trump Administration Is Reversing 100 Environmental Rules. Here’s the Full List. A running list of how President Trump is changing environmental policy Generally speaking, his policy is to undue everything Obama--and then some. When it comes to the Constitution and the Rule of Law, Professor Norris of the Harvard Kennedy School characterizes his policies as policies as "populist authoritarian", resembling those scary movements that have been spreading in western Europe. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...populism-is-rising-across-the-west-heres-why/ Trump's autoritarian tendencies and admiration for dictatorships have been noted by other writers. Israel approves funding to build ‘Trump Heights’ settlement in Golan Heights By Jackie Salo June 14, 2020 | 3:48pm https://nypost.com/2020/06/14/israel-approves-budget-to-build-trump-heights-in-golan-heights/ excerpts: "Israel’s government approved funding on Sunday to establish a new town in the contested Golan Heights that will be named “Trump Heights” after President Trump. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked the Trump administration for recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights at the start of the cabinet meeting, before members voted in favor of a budget for building the settlement, the Jerusalem Post reported. Netanyahu previously announced the plans for Ramat Trump — Hebrew for “Trump Heights” — last year and unveiled a sign with gold lettering on the planned site." "Netanyahu on Sunday also praised Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for authorizing sanctions against anyone involved in an International Criminal Court investigation of Americans or US allies."
What I hear from this is that Obama walks like a gay man and that is upsetting to Trump. Handshakes and walks are two things men of his generation are obsessed with. You have to test other men to see if they also like women.
Bush Sr. tried to recover from the LA riots and his intial crass remarks that belittled the unrest as being caused by young hoodlums starting trouble. He lost in 1992. Bush was in the midst of an economic downturn in 1992 but didn't have to contend with 40 million newly unemployed Americans. Trump has a steep hill to climb, much steeper than the ramp at his commencement speech on his birthday weekend. History says Trump's low approval rating is unlikely to move Analysis by Harry Enten, CNN Updated 6:18 AM ET, Sun June 14, 2020 History says Trump's low approval rating is unlikely to move - CNNPolitics excerpt: "It seems quite likely at this point that Trump's approval rating is going to be south of 50% and his net approval rating (approval - disapproval) to be negative when people vote. That should be deeply troubling to Trump, given the strong link between approval ratings and reelection chances. There have been 13 presidents who have run for another term in the polling era (since 1940). For each of those presidents, I compared their average Gallup (or, in the case of 1944, the Office of Public Opinion Research) June approval rating and their estimated approval rating on Election Day. The average president has seen his approval rating shift by just 3 points from now until the election. That would only get Trump into the mid 40s at best. Trump's approval rating was similar during the 2018 midterms, when his party lost control of the House."

The coronavirus has revealed to Americans that Trump uses real crises to divide the country for his own personal advantage. It may be why elements within the U.S. now appear to be breaking free of Trump's yoke, as evidenced by the NFL this time saying it won't conform to Trump's latest warped-patriotism demands related to the national anthem. The public is taking a more assertive stance on rogue and abusive behavior by the police that Trump has essentially endorsed, examples being the grandstand photo-op event of sheriffs at the White House in 2017, some of whom had slimy backgrounds, and his wholehearted support of Joe Arpaio. If the U.S. ever becomes involved in a major war, Trump would use it as his ultimate culture war for his own ego gain. The enemies of the U.S., like those in the fascist era of WWII, could let Trump do all the work of dividing the country for them.
