Trump has been teasing the media with what he says is upcoming big news about the West Bank. Explainer: Israel, annexation and the West Bank BBC News 25 June 2020 Explainer: Israel, annexation and the West Bank excerpt: "Why is this being talked about now? Until recently, Mr Netanyahu would have faced solid opposition among the international community to such a move. However, Donald Trump's Israeli-Palestinian peace plan, unveiled in January, allows for Israel to "incorporate" the settlements - a radical shift from previous US positions. It is possible that Mr Netanyahu wants to get it done before the US presidential election in November in case Mr Trump's rival Joe Biden - who opposes annexation - is elected and reverses US policy. An agreement which returned Mr Netanyahu to office as head of a national unity government in May set 1 July as the date from which the annexation process could be initiated. What would change with annexation? Assuming it happens (Israel and the US are still deliberating exactly when and how), the settlements and surrounding areas will become permanent parts of Israel (at least, from Israel's position). Reversal would require the support of a large majority of Israeli MPs, something which is very unlikely. In practice, Israeli laws already apply to settlers, though not to Palestinians, who are subject only to Israeli military orders and Palestinian laws, so there would be little noticeable change in that respect."
Conway and others in the Trump administration deflect questions about their bigoted remarks and try to make it look like those who pointed out their bigotry are the real bigots. It's an approach that's part of their playbook to try to appeal to what they refer to as their disenfranchised base. Kellyanne Conway Defends White House Against Racism Saying “I'm Married to an Asian” Meanwhile Trump says Asian-Americans “probably agree” with calling coronavirus “the China virus.” By Luke Darby March 18, 2020 Kellyanne Conway Defends White House Against Racism Saying “I'm Married to an Asian” excerpt: "Adam Serwer, a writer for The Atlantic, summed up what he calls the "Trumpist" attitude to racism succinctly on Tuesday, tweeting, "They do racist shit like this not just because they’re racist, but to draw accusations of racism from the left, which outrage and motivate the base no matter how meritorious." He elaborated later, saying, "They’re far more concerned about riling up the base by drawing accusations of racism than they are dealing with the pandemic. It’s absolutely urgent to them that they be able to get into this argument to distract from Trump’s incompetence."
Trump encouraged states to reopen without abiding by the guidelines of his own administration. The resulting resurgence that has occurred was expected, as was Trump's denialist interpretation that it's all due solely to increased testing. The actions of governors of states like FL and TX to inhibit their reopenings in the wake of increased infections conflict with Trump's contentions that the virus is in embers and ashes. Nearly half of states reopened before meeting the White House safety criteria. Their new surges were entirely predictable. Aria Bendix Jun 27, 2020, 02:19 IST Nearly half of states reopened before meeting the White House safety criteria. Their new surges were entirely predictable. excerpt: "There's a reason for that: Many states started reopening their economies in late April and early May without meeting the White House criteria for resuming business operations and social activities. The guidelines said states should see either a two-week decline in cases or a two-week decline in the share of coronavirus tests coming back positive before they reopened. But 21 states started reopening around May 7 without seeing those trends, according to the New York Times. The majority of those states have seen new coronavirus cases rise in recent weeks. As of Thursday, all 50 states have reopened, but more than half do not currently meet the White House safety criteria, according to a ProPublica analysis. After factoring in states' hospital capacity, coronavirus-testing capacity, and antibody-testing programs for essential workers, only three states — Alaska, Connecticut, and Illinois — satisfy the federal guidelines."
Governor DeSantis' decision to put the brakes on the reopening of his state conflicts with his own contentions that match those of Trump. He sheepishly made the vague remark, "We are where we are. I didn't say we were going to the next phase."
Also in conflict with the claims of Trump and DeSantis is the decision by NY, NJ, and CT to mandate quarantines for visitors from Florida.
And in 2020 you get to pick either Joe Biden or Donald Trump as your leader. 300 million plus people and it comes down to those two. Ya that makes seance
I guess I hope Trump wins, democrates being such smakes sticing us with Joe Biden Joe Biden: The Architect of America’s Disastrous War on Drugs | Brittany Hunter
And how did that happen? For Biden, it was the voters in primary elections. twenty-eight choices, and they ended up picking him. And Republicans picked Trump in 2016 primaries.
Biden doesn't need press coverage trump is garnering all of the media's time with his dumbass comments. btw, Biden is raising more money than trump is.
Trust me ……..the Repubs will try every filthy dirty trick in the book including break federal election laws to get Rump re-elected. In several states they have been purging voter lists to guarantee REPUBLICAN wins, and gerrymandering congressional districts has become standard practice among the CORRUPT, CROOKED REPUBLICAN PARTY. And the CORRUPT CROOKED "SUPREME COURT" will rubber stamp whatever the REPUBLICAN PARTY wants the decision to be. Remember George W. Bush v. Al Gore in 2000? The Florida board of elections and the U.S. "SUPREME COURT" couldn't sign off quick enough to insure George W. Bush became President. Screw the recounts - Bush wins. These are the actions of the CORRUPT, TWO-FACED, HYPOCRITICAL, LYING REPUBLICAN PARTY. The ones who "claim" to be the party of the rule of law. What a diarrhea-laced pile of ROTTEN SOULS infest that party. NO ethics ……………….. NO integrity. Their judgement day awaits for all their lies, corruption, and deception.
When Rump is gone from office …………. I want to see Melania divorce him and take the asshole for every penny she can get out of him. I loved it when Rump tried to hold her hand on the tarmac after getting off a plane and she ripped her hand away from him!!! ( it's on tape) I wish she'd have kicked him in the balls at the same time. Rump will take tax-payer funded Secret Service protection until the day he dies …………….. because his gutless, coward ass is afraid he'll have to face people he's f-ed over during his wasteful, disgraceful life.
This happened.... following the debacle over lysol or disinfectant or whatever it was, and all the jokes about injecting or drinking it, someone has gone blind from drinking hand sanitizer. Three dead and one permanently blind after drinking hand sanitizer - CNN I realize this is a far cry from falling on the shoulders of the administration, but earlier in the thread there was some discussion about President Trump's comments about injecting or something. Outcry after Trump suggests injecting disinfectant Don't do it people. It's no better than that Tide Pod challenge... It should of course go without saying.
Some Republicans didn't want other Republicans running against him in their Republican primary this year. They are just so solidly Republican, always goose stepping together like compliant Nazis.
Trump just signed another stupid and anti-Democrat executive order. This time he wants to protect and re-install Confederate monuments within the federal government. He wants to charge protestors who bring them down or otherwise damage them. These monuments glorify the enemies of the United States of America. They are depictions of military men who fought against America? Some Confederate military men, like Nathan Bedford Forrest, slaughtered Union prisoners. Most like Robert E Lee owned and abused slaves, even going as far as killing the poor starving African men who owned nothing. In the past, I had suggested these monuments be removed and taken to some sort of museum where students or Southern people could go and look at them. I thought so after a friend asked me, "How would you feel if you went to court and saw the Confederate slaver being glorified right up front?" And today I see that my friend was right. No non-white person could feel these courts would be fair to them. With Confederate figures being glorified on government properties, America is saying the White Man's laws are still in place, even the Confederate ones. Maybe it is time we took them all down and put the in a museum, where college students who want to do a research term paper could go and study them? Maybe we should just take a jack-hammer and trash them? Will we let the court in Ohio put up a statue of Saddam Hussein? Saddam fought against America just like the Confederates, and he didn't enforce slavery. The Confederate Southerners enforced slavery. How about Hugo Chavez? Should we have his picture up at the Social Security office? He didn't fight against American troops or own slaves. The Southern Plantation owners did so and profited considerably from slavery. Maybe we should force the Southern states to pay the bill for removing the monuments of slavery? When you go to vote this fall, ask your self: Why is Trump going out of his way to defend and glorify the Confederate States and slavery?
^^^^^^^ Because he's a white supremacist, snobby, aloof, waste of space. In my opinion - there are 2 sets of Republicans …………… the everyday kind who are our neighbors and want pretty much the same things as everyone else in any political party. Jobs that pay well for their hard work, good schools, clean environment, fair treatment in society, decent housing, good health care, etc. None of those are unreasonable expectations for anyone willing to work. Then there are the power-broker Republicans ……………… the ones who are really rich and have that lust for power and control over everyone else for their own financial gain. Those are the ones who want to control the type of government we have, who sits in places of power, who makes the rules …………….. and what those rules will be ( always to benefit THEM - not the everyday citizen ). The avg. everyday Republicans get screwed over by their own party ………………… and don't even seem to realize it. They deserve much better.
Years ago The Empowerment Project (Barb Trent) produced a documentary film called "Cover-Up" about the Iran Contra ordeal during the Reagan Administration. There was a truckload of evidence about the Reagan crowd sending Stinger missiles to Iran through Kendal Corporation in Israel. They were to be used against Iraq. There was evidence presented which told George HW Bush had cut a deal with the Iranians so they would hold the American hostages until Jimmy Crater had lost the election and Reagan got elected. The American hostages were release within minutes of Reagan being sworn in to office. There was evidence presented in that film to show that money from the Stinger sales was used to help the Contra Rebels in Nicaragua. There was also evidence which showed drugs were being traded for the weapons which Reagan's heavy hitters provided. You can still get copies of that film. Trent also made another film about the Panama invasion.
Over 45,000 new coronavirus cases in a day in the U.S.. Florida closes beaches for 4th of July. In the midst of the virus resurgence, Trump says he may not be reelected because some people don't love him. U.S. hits highest single day of new coronavirus cases with more than 45,500, breaking April record Florida counties fight coronavirus surge by closing beaches, mailing out masks
