"Lawmakers in Mississippi voted to remove the Confederate battle emblem from the state flag on Sunday, clearing the way for Republican Gov. Tate Reeves to sign the measure into law.

The state House and Senate both approved legislation to remove the 126-year-old current flag and to form a commission to redesign it.

"Today we and the rest of the nation can look on our state with new eyes, with pride and hope," House Speaker Philip Gunn said following the House vote, according to the Mississippi Clarion-Ledger.

Sunday's passage was expected following a procedural vote on Saturday.

The bill now goes to the governor, who has said he would sign the legislation but has not immediately set a date for the signing."

To clarify my "Yes..."

It wouldn't have to be a "race war", but that might be his easiest option. (The man is inherently lazy, so easy is his go to option)

If he can get enough people killing each other in the streets over the current political divide, then he can proclaim Martial Law and cancel the election. His "2nd Amendment Guys" are already locked and loaded, shooting "libruls" for sport has been discussed on the "militia" forums for years. The GOP is backing Trump no matter what he does and have been fantasizing about a complete republican controlled country, with any opposition party being eliminated, for quite some time. The Military might be politicized enough to target "leftists" only at this point as well...

In the mind of a sick, devious business man like Trump I'm sure he is considering a "King for life" status as looking pretty good to him right now... His base would love it.
