Yep. No fool like an old fool.
No-one was hurt.
I wonder what will happen today?

 

Its been very hot and dry here. There was a brush fire towards the bottom of the mountain here yesterday.

 

That happens all the time in another part of the New Forest. It breaks my heart for the poor animals.
But Australia was SO BAD last year, we can only pray that large bush fires do not happen again.

 

Thats how hot it was yesterday around 5:00pm. I was partway up the mountain when i took that.

 

OMG !

 

Its not uncommon for brush fires to errupt along the tracks coming up the mountain. The trains start them. Sparks off the wheels on the rail cars.

We are very careful when we are riding the trails when its this dry and hot out. I keep an empty beer can for my cigar butts.

 

Good idea, it only takes a small spark and WHOOSH!

 

A lot of the trails that are ususally very muddy are now dry as a bone. The springs that keep them wet have dried up.

 

That is normal for the season I guess???

 

Its not uncommon to have a long hot dry spell during the summer here, but we have summers that are very rainy too.

 

Mmmm I call it Global Storming.

 

I bet someone has to pay a fine. lol

Big fires in California-----AGAIN! Lassen county and one east and south of Fresno.

 

Oh no!

 

Told my wife she needed a home improvement loan---she gave me a thousand dollars and told me to move out!
