VG has always said that the colder temperature seems to be an element in the infection rates. Australia is winter now, the temperatures are a lot lower, especially the areas closer to Antarctic AKA Victoria. Canberra experiences sub zero temperatures and Sydney gets into single digits.

So it's colder. So the rates are getting higher. Exactly like he's always said.

You can pretty just ignore a comparison between Australia and most other continents because the sheer number difference in population just doesn't really work as a comparison.
