Well this is going to be an expensive week. Boiler sprung a leak yesterday - spent yesterday afternoon and evening mopping up. Called the engineer this morning - boiler is now kaput - needs replacing - cost around £2000.00 - they will call and replace either Wednesday or Thursday.

Did anyone see the news this morning.
Watching good morning Britain. They had a news crew in the English Channel filming a French coast guard boat following a small dingy.
Turns out they had followed it from the French mainland and were essentially escorting them to british waters.
And that's what happened, they filmed the French boat turning away at the 10 miles out from the UK coast meaning the UK coast guard had to take over.
As soon as the dingy was less than 9 miles out they turned of the the outboard motor triggering the rescue of life under maritime law.

They've been doing it for ages, escorting them into UK waters, well so much for lockdown! There was one in the paper last week, they abandoned the dinghy they'd stole in france and were sat on a wall somewhere drying off with a towel, it has to stop! Britain is FULL end of, also how can we be expected to follow lockdown etc when they keep letting people in, does anyone in government understand the meaning of the word 'quarantine' ? somehow I doubt it.
As long as we are going to allow these people in willy nilly we might as well open everything back up and take our chances, what the hell is the point of going on as we are if people are just allowed in carrying god only knows what diseases. The idea of a quarantine is this, nobody moves around, some will get the illness, some won't get it, some will die, some will recover, it really is that simple, and it works, but you have to stop people coming into the country first.
Most of these illegal immigrants are not locked up, they are simply released into the UK and told to report to such an address on such a date, most don't bother, they are here and thats all they want, we need a firm hand with these people, either return them straight to france, or start sinking a few of their boats like they do in NZ. If you look on the flight radar sites you can very often see the borderforce drones patrolling the channel, then when they see a migrant vessel they turn out to 'rescue' them and bring them to the UK, it has to stop.

Plumber came yesterday - took down old boiler, fitted brand spanking, shiny new one. I phoned the company this morning, found out how much I owed them, plus the job number and have already arranged an inter-bank money transfer of £2000.00 So now its all done and dusted.
