VG seems to be placing emphasis on "politicizing" in the previous sentence, so that the virus isn't a hoax but "politicizing" it is.
"Hoax:
1. An act intended to deceive or trick.
2. Something that has been established or accepted by fraudulent means."
How can politicizing a hoax be a hoax if the thing being politicized isn't a hoax?

Try to spin it as much as you like, but normal people understand that Trump was denying or minimizing the virus as a problem.

I guess my question for him would be "Is there any validity to that statement?" because I see nothing demonstrating that there is a hoax, or a plot, a ploy, anything hinky, etc. There's nothing!

We're not sabotaging President Trump. His virus response was ill timed. He didn't respond in time and we're arguably "badly" infected as a result of the inaction on the part of our government.

To say, "Oh the White House screwed the pooch on this CoViD-19 thing" isn't a hoax or sabotage. It's true!

If you only had 30 cases in NY and California at the time, why the hell would anyone agree to locking down Kansas as an example

But he's certainly aware of the power of executive order under other circumstances; which basically means he's making an assertion of power without a law being drawn up in Congress (not sure why we have that actually). He didn't go out of his way to say "Hey! This is really serious according to everyone."
