Republican Senate report confirms, Trump team colluded with the Russians during the last presidential election. Trump himself committed perjury, "Despite Trump’s recollection, the Committee assesses that Trump did, in fact, speak with Stone about WikiLeaks and with members of his Campaign about Stone’s access to WikiLeaks on multiple occasions," the report says.~ 3 Paul Manafort was in constant contact with, Konstantin Kilimnik, a confirmed Russian spy, and exchanged confidential data posing a “grave counterintelligence threat”, ~ 3 Roger Stone was working with WikiLeaks, "Despite Trump’s recollection, the Committee assesses that Trump did, in fact, speak with Stone about WikiLeaks and with members of his Campaign about Stone’s access to WikiLeaks on multiple occasions," the report says. ~ 3 Putin, not Ukraine "ordered the Russian effort to hack computer networks and accounts affiliated with the Democratic Party and leak information damaging to Hillary Clinton and her campaign for president.", ~ 3 The intent of the infamous Trump Tower meeting, "The Committee found that it was the intent of the Campaign participants in the meeting, particularly Donald Trump Jr., to receive derogatory information that would be of benefit to the Campaign from a source known, at least by Trump Jr., to have connections to the Russian government," ~ 3 The trump team broke the law on numerous occasions, "The committee did not anticipate… the multitude of novel and unprecedented executive privilege claims" from the White House "on behalf of members of President-elect Trump’s Transition Team and the transition itself," the report says, adding the committee "was surprised by these assertions because they were made inconsistently and because they have no basis in law." ~ 3 The FBI correctly investigated Carter Page, "The findings in this report clearly provide a fact pattern that would have demanded an investigation and to not do so would have been negligent," said John Cohen, a former acting undersecretary at the department and ABC News contributor. "With the release of this report it’s unclear how the Attorney General and Durham can credibly claim that this investigation wasn’t warranted or properly predicated." ~ 3 The committee made criminal referrals of Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner, Steve Bannon, Erik Prince and Sam Clovis to federal prosecutors in 2019 but the Republicans refused to investigate. ~2 Republican Senators agreed with the findings and signed off on the report.
Well, looks like it worked: "US President Donald Trump has said tech giant Oracle would be "a great company" to take over TikTok's US operations. It comes after Oracle was reported as a possible buyer of the Chinese social media app's business in North America, Australia and New Zealand. Last week Mr Trump ordered TikTok's owner ByteDance to sell its US business within 90 days or face being shut down" Trump gives nod to Oracle buyout of TikTok in US
The bipartisan Senate report indicates that Trump's list of people he might want to commute or pardon is growing, including Manafort, Donald Trump Jr., Sam Clovis, Jared Kushner, Steve Bannon, Carter Page, Erik Prince, and anyone else who was doing his dirty work for him at his direction. Trump already commuted Stone. He could issue preemptive pardons for crimes that have not yet been charged, like what Ford did for Nixon. He could pardon himself. Trump could even pardon Putin. The Constitution doesn't explicitly prohibit him from doing it.
Senate report got stuff all media attention Doesnt even make CNNs home page, even they dont give a shit
Averaging over the worst weeks in April, the confirmed coronavirus death rate in the U.S. was near 2400 per day. A lull occurred in late June when the death rate was near 700 per day. For the month of August it has been near 1000 per day. United States: Coronavirus Pandemic image:
Trump supporters in July were denying that the the coronavirus deaths in the U.S. were increasing, even though it was evident at the time. Data in August shows clearly that the death rate increased after late June.
Contact tracing and social distancing are two main modalities currently available for combating the virus considering that effective vaccines aren't yet available.. Some countries have been successful in using those modalities. The U.S. has had difficulties partly due to a testing system that needs improvement and is nowhere as good as Trump contends. Other crippling factors include psychological and behavioral issues with those in the White House and with a portion of the general public who have a dismissive attitude about the deadliness of the virus and the social distancing practices that mitigate it.
He'll no doubt try to pardon himself and his family, but whether or not that's Constitutional will have to be decided by the SCOTUS. Even if he does that, he could still be subpoenaed to testify in various matters -- just not charged with any crime. Unless, of course, the SCOTUS decides to just trash our Constitution and let him get away with all his crimes.
If he tries to pardon himself, no Republican will be elected for anything, not even County Dog Catcher, for the next 40 years. And Trump will be still chargeable under state law, and reviewable for constitutionality for the federal part. The ordeal will prove the simple criminal thinking within the convolutions of his defective mind.
In this country people are outraged when large numbers of our countrymen die, for any reason. People were outraged when when 3000 died during the 911 attacks. Today, Trump and the Republicans make light of the 173000 deaths which had been caused by a virus which Trump did little about and mismanaged badly. I hope my explanation id sufficient for some simple minded Trump supporter like you. And VG ... deaths did not go down. The only thing which went down is Trump's popularity.
