This should be news to no one... He has been doing this all along. Of course his base thinks it's great and would like to do the same.
Trump has lost support of the older vote. Public’s Mood Turns Grim; Trump Trails Biden on Most Personal Traits, Major Issues Just 17% say they are ‘proud’ when thinking about state of the U.S. Pew Research Center June 30, 2020 Trump Trails Biden on Most Personal Traits, Major Issues excerpt: "White adults are now about evenly split in their views of Trump: 48% approve of how he’s handling his job, while 50% say they disapprove. In March, Trump’s ratings among whites tilted positive (54% approved, 44% disapproved). Roughly seven-in-ten Hispanic adults (69%) disapprove of Trump’s job performance, as does an even larger majority of Black adults (86%). Disapproval among Black adults is especially deeply held: 70% say they very strongly disapprove of his job performance; in March, 58% said this. Younger adults remain much more critical of Trump’s performance than older adults. About three-quarters (74%) of those ages 18 to 29 disapprove of how Trump is handling his job. The oldest adults (ages 65 and older) are as likely to say they approve (48%) as disapprove (48%) of Trump. Disapproval of Trump has edged higher among all age groups since earlier this year."
Facts that need to be repeated to Trump (and his following) who keeps falling victim to relapses caused by his addiction to ideological posturing. OVID-19 (coronavirus) vaccine: Get the facts Mayo Clinic Get the facts about a COVID-19 (coronavirus) vaccine excerpt; "Avoid close contact. This means avoiding close contact (within about 6 feet, or 2 meters) with anyone who is sick or has symptoms. Also, avoid large events and mass gatherings. Wear cloth face coverings in public places. Cloth face coverings offer extra protection in places such as the grocery store, where it's difficult to avoid close contact with others. They are especially suggested in areas with ongoing community spread. This updated advice is based on data showing that people with COVID-19 can transmit the virus before they realize they have it. Using masks in public may help reduce the spread from people who don't have symptoms. Non-medical cloth masks are recommended for the public. Surgical masks and N-95 respirators are in short supply and should be reserved for health care providers. Practice good hygiene. Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw away the used tissue. Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth. Avoid sharing dishes, glasses, bedding and other household items if you're sick. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces daily. Stay home if you're sick. If you aren't feeling well, stay home unless you're going to get medical care. Avoid going to work, school and public areas and don't take public transportation."
The 'liberty or death' slogan is being used in a pathological manner by Trump enthusiasts during the pandemic. An analog would be a military war where people were taking the liberty to engage in behavior that allows the enemy to defeat them, which ends their liberty anyway. It's a self-defeating behavior during a war, including one where the enemy is a virus. Trump's cohort, Herman Cain, chose the warped perception of liberty and got death as a result. Liberty or death is a perilous policy for a pandemic Opinion by E.J. Dionne Jr. Columnist April 19, 2020 at 5:18 p.m. EDT https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...89c6a6-80e0-11ea-9040-68981f488eed_story.html excerpt: "President Trump is failing because he has abandoned our commitments to favoring problem-solving over ideological posturing and to acting nationally in the face of looming catastrophe. His own words last week underscored both deficiencies. Instead of rallying the resources required for a nationally organized testing program, Trump told the nation’s governors that the federal government will “be standing alongside of you.” The relevant word here was “standing,” an admission of passivity. And the man who is not doing his own job had the nerve to tweet on Friday: “The States have to step up their TESTING!” He continued his responsibility-shifting on Sunday, tweeting that “Governors must be able to step up” on the testing issue.
That was in April. A couple months later, Trump took the opposite stance and dismissed testing because he thinks it makes him look bad.

It’s a perilous guide to policy during a pandemic. Pragmatists may be short on stirring slogans. But when the choices are hard and the problems are daunting, they’re the ones we should want in charge.
Trump is technically in the WWE hall of fame. So they consider him as important as Hulk Hogan. I don't think he will be mentioned him much in future years. VW and BMW do not really mention Hitler for the same reasons. The brand moves on even if they have a past with a bad man.
Miami ICU nurse: I have never in my life seen so many deaths By KELLI KENNEDY August 22, 2020 Miami ICU nurse: I have never in my life seen so many deaths "FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Their final breaths are tormented. Rublas Ruiz has seen too many of them -- the last gasps of 17 men and women who died of the coronavirus. A 41-year-old ICU nurse in Miami’s Kendall Regional Medical Center, Ruiz has witnessed the desperate, pleading, wide-eyed, barely there gasps. “The fear in their eyes when they can’t get enough air. They are so scared,” he says, quietly. “Their eyes are big, desperate to get the oxygen and that makes me so sad.” He sits on their bed, grasps their hand, strokes their cheek and prays. Anything to soothe them."
If the drop in cases is due to better adherence to distancing guidelines and isn't due to less testing, the U.S. coronavirus death rate may decrease in the upcoming weeks. It has been near 1000 per day during the past few weeks. Trump is still promoting full reopening of in-person classes to try to make the country appear normal as the election approaches while making it appear he has a sincere interest in the quality of students education. He feels that students at home will hamper the ability of parents to work which will negatively affect the economy and his reelection bid. Daily coronavirus cases in the U.S. fall below 50,000 for seven straight days after summer surge Noah Higgins-Dunn Published Sat, Aug 22 2020 11:50 AM EDT Daily coronavirus cases in the U.S. fall below 50,000 for seven straight days after summer surge excerpt: "While new U.S. cases have fallen by nearly 17% compared with a week ago, based on a seven-day average, public health experts have recently questioned the accuracy of some declines due to reduced testing. Coronavirus testing in the U.S. has also been hampered by severe delays. “I really have come to believe we have entered a real, new, emerging crisis with testing and it is making it hard to know where the pandemic is slowing down and where it’s not,” Dr. Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, said in an interview with CNBC earlier this month. The decline comes as universities and schools across the country grapple with returning students to the classroom safely. Some universities, such as the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Notre Dame, have struggled to contain coronavirus outbreaks since reopening their campuses." "President Donald Trump, however, urged universities to continue with their reopening plans during a White House press briefing Wednesday, saying “there’s nothing like being with a teacher as opposed to being on a computer board.”"
Isn't that kind of a silly headline Why would a 41 yr old nurse from Miami have seem more deaths in the last 20 years otherwise?
Your summer "surge" was going from 1,878,000 cases on June 1st to around the 6,200,000 mark by the end of this month 0.56% of the population having ever been infected to 1.88%, 3 months later To put in perspective, June, July, August, cases in US will grow 3.3 fold....over the exact same time frame, cases in Argentina will have grown 22 fold It does grow about 6 times faster in winter vs summer, above and below the 34th parrallel
Actual criminal charges are not likely in my opinion. Arrest has kind of been ruined by the right wing. They want it so bad for Obama and Hillary I have forget it really happens sometimes. It would be satisfying to see him a court room. He will no doubt want to "make a deal" with the judge and it will be more upsetting than the prion term to not have their ear. I've seen it many times. Mentally ill people like him don't really understand what will happen to them until that moment that request is denied. A cell is not so bad it's them not being acknowledged that hurts. How dare that judge do that. He then yells something that adds 2 years to the term as he is escorted out. Because they are who they are rules don't apply and they can charm. It's worked for them before. Criminals are often very charming and if you read Mary's book this is his life. Anytime a problem comes up either his father or he talks to someone and the problem goes away. It leads to a man just as separated from reality as the average serial killer. Anonymous Source Tells Times Reporter Don Jr. Is Worried His Father Will Lose And Whole Family Will Be Prosecuted Look, we all know damn good and well why Donald Trump and his entire family are going to whatever lengths they deem necessary to prevent a loss and secure a second term for Donald come November. In former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s final report for his Russia investigation, he clearly noted that Donald Trump could not be prosecuted thanks to a long-standing policy within the U.S. Department of Justice that prevents them from prosecuting a sitting president. If Joe Biden wins the impending election, as polls are predicting, Trump will be enjoying his last days of such protections in just a few short months and several different entities are already biding their time to slap Donnie with a slew of charges — some of which will no doubt take his spawns down with him. And according to a report from The New York Times’ Jason Zengerle, Donald’s eldest son and namesake is shaking in his boots at the very real prospect of prosecutions for the whole family if his dad does ultimately lose to Biden in just a few weeks. The article penned by Zengerle takes a deep dive into Donald Trump Jr.’s role in his father’s bid for reelection and goes on to reveal that an anonymous source, described by Zengerle as a “prominent conservative activist”, claims “Don’s the only person who thinks they’re going to lose. He’s like, ‘We’re losing, dude, and we’re going to get really hurt when we lose.'” Zengerle says that Junior is referring to criminal prosecutions when he says it’s going to “really hurt.” He reports, “An electoral defeat in November, Trump Jr. fears, could result in federal prosecutions of Trump, his family, and his political allies. He has told the conservative activist that he expects that a Biden administration will not participate in a ‘peaceful transition’ and instead, will ‘shoot the prisoners.'” Zengerle’s piece goes on to take a deeper dive into just how Junior got to where he is today. But in the end, it sounds to me as though even Junior himself knows that the Trump family’s days are numbered.
Trump steamrolls norms with White House convention speech, raising ethics concerns It’s a “new level” of unethical conduct by President Trump, one expert said. By Jordyn Phelps and Ben Gittleson August 24, 2020, 4:11 PM Trump steamrolls norms with White House convention speech, raising ethics concerns excerpt: "Clark explained that the Hatch Act was written in such a way that specifies prohibited activities as being limited to the confines of federal buildings. “When Congress passed these provisions, they wanted to ensure that the federal workplace was free from partisan political activity and the language they used was referring to a room or building occupied by federal employees. Now some federal employees carry out their duties outside. But the Hatch Act doesn’t apply to that.” “If people are wondering why it’s outside, maybe it’s because of COVID but maybe it’s also because of the Hatch Act,” she said. Earlier this month, a federal watchdog agency told Congress that, while Trump could deliver his speech from the White House grounds, White House staffers would violate the law if taking part in proceedings while on duty. In a letter to the chair of the House Oversight Committee, the Office of Special Counsel said that "if the employees take leave, and the event is held on the White House lawn or in the residence, the Hatch Act would not prohibit the employees from attending the event." Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was also slated to speak at the convention, which would make him the first sitting secretary of state to deliver a speech to a party's political convention in modern times. Pompeo was expected to tape his remarks during an official diplomatic stop in Jerusalem Monday; the State Department said he would be speaking in his "personal" capacity."
