Trump is relying heavily on the law-and-order stance and less on the left-behind ploy that targeted coal miners, farmers, and steel and auto workers during the 2016 campaign..

He's ignoring the ongoing coronavirus pandemic that is still killing about 1000 Americans per day. He flouted the law of PA where he (the law-and-order president) addressed a packed indoor crowd.

"After months of trepidation, Trump campaign officials have been feeling encouraged in the last few weeks as Trump has pivoted to a “law and order” message amid protests over racial injustice. They believe efforts to paint Biden as weak on crime will help Trump win back suburban voters, and especially women, who supported him in 2016 but have since soured on him.

That includes in Pennsylvania, where they argue the president is in a better position than he was in 2016, citing Democrats' shrinking voter registration advantage. This time, they believe their get-out-the-vote operation will result in better turnout among working-class rural voters, along with improved margins among African Americans, Latinos and union supporters. At the rally, Trump announced that he had received the endorsement of the Boilermakers Local 154 in Pittsburgh.

Trump was speaking in front of a crowd of hundreds packed into an airport hangar, where people stood closely together and few were seen wearing masks, despite the continued pandemic.

Pennsylvania currently restricts indoor gatherings to 25 people and outdoor events to 250 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. But Trump has been flouting both local restrictions and his own administration’s social distancing guidelines as he insists on campaigning in front of large crowds and tries to project the image that coronavirus is waning."

Moore and others compared that with Kenosha police providing water to Rittenhouse and thanking his armed group just before the shooting last week.

“If he was Black, he would be a ‘thug.’ But because he’s white, he’s a ‘young man,'” Moore said of how Rittenhouse has been portrayed. “He’s not a young man. He’s a murderer.”

Rittenhouse has become a cause célèbre on the right. Shortly after the shootings, someone tweeted they wanted Rittenhouse to be their bodyguard. Ann Coulter tweeted back that she wanted the teen to be “my president.” Aubrey Huff, a former baseball player for the San Francisco Giants, hailed him as a “national treasure.”"

 

Let me say that I am anti war, and not a big fan of the military. However, I realize the military is a necessity.
I had three uncles serve during war time. Two fought in WWII(one was wounded), and one uncle was killed during the Korean war.
Having said this I would never stoop to this level.

I consider myself thick skinned so rarely am I shocked by anything Trump says anymore, yet somehow he continues to find a way.


No President/commander in chief would ever say these things about the military, and yet all you have to is look at the pre-nup he signed with Marla Maples to believe it.

Trump would pay child support for his daughter Tiffany until the age of 21 under the condition “she would be cut off from her father’s bank accounts if she joined either the Peace Corps or the military”

Then of course there were the comments he made about John McCain, and Mary Trump in her tell-all book quoted Donald Trump as saying “If Trump Jr decides to join the Military, he will be disowned by the family”

 

Trump acted like it was too windy for the helicopter and too much rain to drive.

It's the same Trump who claims repeatedly that he bought the military the best equipment.

 

Trump who thinks McCain was a loser for being captured isn't going to think any better of U.S. service members who were killed in action.

 

Saturday Night Live did a sketch about that long ago. His ex-wife was trying to collect on him during the divorce and Trump kept reciting stipulations of their prenuptial agreement while tears were running down her eyes. At the end he let her take a chance of getting some money by playing a casino game using a roulette wheel while she was trying to dry her eyes of the tears.

 

I clearly remember at the time thinking WTF the Secret Service is afraid of a little rain? ...lol...

Vote twice to check postal ballot system, Trump tells supporters

Donald Trump has encouraged his supporters who vote by mail to cast two ballots in November's presidential election – one by post and another in person – as a check to see if the mailed vote is counted.

"They'll go out and they'll vote and they're going to have to go and check their vote by going to the poll and voting that way, because if it tabulates then they won't be able to do that. So, let them send it in and let them go vote," the president said in an interview in North Carolina.

"And if their system's as good as they say it is, then obviously they won't be able to vote. If it isn't tabulated, they'll be able to vote. So that's the way it is, and that's what they should do," he told WECT-TV at Wilmington airport.

He made a similar appeal to supporters at the airport: "You can't let them take your vote away.

"These people are playing dirty politics — dirty politics. So if you have an absentee ballot or, as I call it, a solicited ballot... you send it in, but I would check it, in any event, I would go and follow it and go vote."

It came on a day Mr Trump sped through a VJ Day speech, trumpeting American strength and squeezing in a swipe at Democratic rival Joe Biden.

He stood before a famous Second World War battleship to declare the port city of Wilmington a "Heritage City". He pointed to a bolt of lightning and said it was God saluting the event.

He honoured war veterans including 97-year-old Hershel "Woody" Williams, the sole surviving marine from the war to receive the Medal of Honour after he served in the Battle of Iwo Jima in the Pacific.

"He's 100% sharp," Mr Trump said of Mr Williams, who had travelled to the key battleground state with the president aboard Air Force One.

"I know a 78-year-old who's not so sharp," the president added, a clear allusion to Mr Biden.

White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany had insisted earlier this week that there was no "political purpose" to the visit to North Carolina, but the president lost no time in criticising Mr Biden.

"This is the most important election in the history of our country. I really believe that, because we're running against people that have got some big issues," he told supporters on the airport tarmac. "They have got some big, big problems. They're stone cold crazy."

He won North Carolina by 3.6 percentage points in 2016, but polls are showing an extremely close race taking shape in a state that generates 15 electoral votes for the winner.

 

The race in North Carolina is close with Joe Biden leading President Donald Trump by 2 percentage points,.

So he’s trying to do anything he can to muddy the waters and possibly call for a recount If he’s edged out by Biden.

Voting more than once is voter fraud.

Voter fraud is a felony.

That being said, let the Trump supporters vote as many times as they want. Catch them at it, and lock them up. Trump would be a felon, too, just by suggesting it. Lock him up.

Sounds like a great plan...


All those fraudulent votes would be null and void anyways.

 

Trump can't muster the discipline to conduct a formal honoring of a military service member without using it as a prop to dishonor someone he doesn't like.

Trump is puzzled why he has lost the support of members of the military.

Trump thinks spending more taxpayer money on the military will garner more support from service people. It hasn't.

His lack of morality and ethics makes him clueless about properly addressing members of the military without insulting them with his crass behavior. An example is his attempt at trying to honor a 97-year-old war veteran and using the occasion to insult someone else. Insinuating McCain was a loser for being captured is another. Trump circumventing the military justice system by pardoning members of the military who committed or were accused of war crimes is still another example.

 

Trump mistakenly thinks that passage of a spending bill for the military instantly translates into new weapons in the hands of the infantry. He spoke to a group of troops and told them that they're probably happy with all the new equipment they just received. The troops looked at him puzzled, like the deer staring into the headlights, not knowing what he was talking about.

 

The troops are still waiting to see that Muslim who Trump said had crossed over from Mexico four years ago.
