This type of verbiage is way above what many Americans can comprehend. Trust me .................... many, MANY people will not know what she's saying in this sentence. Communicating concepts and ideas using college-level language is making the eyes glaze over for folks who never went to college, and in fact, had trouble even getting through high school.

Jacob Blake and Kyle Rittenhouse: Should police have used different tactics?
    By Ritu Prasad,
    BBC News
    28 August 2020

Should Wisconsin police have used different tactics?

    excerpt:

"There are clear differences for Prof Burkhalter. One man who may or may not have been reaching for a knife was "corralled, [an officer] holding his shirt like he's some type of animal" and shot multiple times, he says, while the other was walking down the street with an assault weapon.

But while a lot of emphasis is placed on the actions of a single officer, Prof Burkhalter says "there's often a lot of blame to go around". In both incidents, he asks: "Where is the supervisor who was responsible for these actions?"

Letting an armed individual walk behind the line of cars "is astonishingly dangerous for the police officers themselves," Mr German points out.

These two incidents highlight the ways "police are trained to be afraid of certain situations and not others," he says.

The first shooting took place in broad daylight on a residential street. The second, in the middle of the night in a chaotic civil unrest environment.

"The situations are just so opposite in how the police should have responded compared to how they did.""

Today's brownshirts????? U.S. citizens ought to - but won't - read up on how Hitler and other dictators gradually "numbed" the citizenry to martial law and complete takeovers of various countries. It's eerily similar to what Rump is doing, along with his racist "SS" types.

Trump wonders why he has lost support of members of the military.

Pentagon orders shutdown of Stars and Stripes newspaper

    excerpt:

"The order to halt publication by Sept. 30, and dissolve the organization by the end of January, follows the Pentagon's move earlier this year to cut the $15.5 million in funding for the paper from the Defense Department budget. And it is a reflection of the Trump administration's broader animosity for the media and members of the press.

Members of Congress have objected to the defunding move for months. And senators sent a letter to Defense Secretary Mark Esper this week urging him to reinstate the money. The letter, signed by 15 senators, including Republicans and Democrats, also warns Esper that the department is legally prohibited from canceling a budget program while a temporary continuing resolution to fund the federal government is in effect."

This might be the trigger that gets "the RUMP" to declare martial law. If the "ACTUAL LAW" in this country tried to arrest Rump for felony and reject all the "two-vote" ballots, I can see him trying it. He'll scream bloody murder if he doesn't win. He'll sue EVERYONE !!!

I just want to see that hissy-fit on TV. T-H-A-T ............................. will be "must-see TV."

Classic "cutting your nose off to spite your face". These dolts vote for the guy who wants to de-fund Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, school loans, Pell grants, etc. They must think they have GOBS and GOBS of money to carry them through their retirement years with no help at all for any medical conditions that they'll surely get as they age. Piggy bank better be as big as an Iowa corn silo - and FULL of money too.

And when they're busy "sticking it to" others with Rump's help - they might eventually notice that the knife curves around and sticks them in their own ass a bit later. "But what about...............?"

Again ................. these aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer.

Trump is like a colored Easter decoration eggshell that had its contents drained. Flamboyant on the outside, empty on the inside, and very prone to fracturing.

I don't know what he is but suspected that he is not in Australia as he claims and suspected that he is paid by Trump. Trump's M.O.is the flooding of all venues with disinformation. He plans to win with lies. Trump is a liar and it's obvious to us by now. A long time ago, maybe 50 years ago a car salesman told me, "if you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull shit." That's what we got going on here during the Trump presidency.

I just had a scary thought for the 100th time……..

If Trump is willing to subvert the postal service, stop in-person congressional intelligence briefings, ask supporters in North Carolina to vote twice, and halt the publication of Stars & Stripes, which has been an independent voice for the military for 160 years, just how far is he willing to go over the next two months

I agree with you. He may be an Aussie, but doesn't live there. In fact, a couple of weeks ago he hinted that he lives in Montana.

He can do a lot of damage in two months. The good thing is that the damage he has done can be reversed by executive orders.

A few years back I went to a town in western Montana and the locals made it clear to me that their town was a white town. The local yokel told me if I was still in town in 45 minutes he'll find a reason to arrest me. VG might live there?

A guy in a Keep America Great hat, and driving a Ford, plowed into a crowd of BLM protestors in New York City. The Ford had a police style push bumper. Trump supporters don't want the rest of us to protest.

159-year-old Stars and Stripes newspaper shutting down

    excerpt:

"The order, which also dissolves the organization by the end of January, follows the Pentagon’s move earlier this year to cut the $15.5 million in funding for the paper from the Defense Department budget. And it is a reflection of the Trump administration’s broader animosity for the media and members of the press.

The first newspaper called Stars and Stripes was very briefly produced in 1861 during the Civil War, but the paper began consistent publication during World War I. When the war was over, publication ended, only to restart in 1942 during World War II, providing wartime news written by troops specifically for troops in battle.

Although the paper gets funding from the Defense Department, it is editorially independent and is delivered in print and digitally to troops all over the world."

Trump's coronavirus briefings have evaporated. He generally is no longer seen together with Fauci or Birx. He was seen once with them standing behind him but they weren't allowed to speak. He said in July that he would be resuming them because he got great TV ratings for them in the spring.

He added Scott Atlas as a coronavirus advisor whose background is in radiology, not infectious diseases, and whose ideology matches Trump's.
