I bought a lap-desk.

My laptop was running hot, and I bitched and moaned and ordered a new one (most recent purchase is actually the laptop, but this is more interesting). But tech support at the tech store giant, Best Buy, said get one of those doohickeys that you put between your lap and the laptop to facilitate airflow. Now, if you don't have a lap-desk, or don't want to pay for one, a textbook works just as well. It would be essentially the same thing I've got here, just the angle might not be as ergonomic.

And I like it. It's not overheating now. Of course my laptop has a fairly robust processor; though I'm not entirely certain how that relates to the heat of computing. It's an Intel i7, which isn't bad. The new one will have an equivalent processor by a different brand, and my parents will inherit this one. to replace their ailing Lenovo. But anyway, I think the lap-desk solves the heat problem. It was so hot! Making my lap sweat and getting uncomfortable, like a hair dryer.

 

12, that's a lot of tea. Lol

 

A new tablet. My ipad mini was going bad. Right in the middle of doing something it would just go to a black screen and a few seconds later to the home screen. Bought a Samsung tablet with a much larger screen and 8 times the memory.

 

We use 26 pints a week.

 

That has to be a record lol

 

New fangled gizmo !!! - my laptop, does exactly as it says - sits on my lap as I sit semi-reclined in my riser/recliner armchair like this:

 

Lunch for 5 at the Slug and Lettuce.
