It amazes me that reasonable folks are called snowflakes by Trumpets when he himself is by far the biggest snowflake of all, unable to bear the slightest bit of criticism.
Trump's tensions with the military grow after reports that he disparaged soldiers, generals Tom Vanden Brook, Michael Collins and Deirdre Shesgreen, USA TODAY Published 5:00 a.m. ET Sept. 10, 2020 Updated 9:27 a.m. ET Sept. 10, 2020 Trump's military ties further strained over alleged 'loser' remarks excerpt: "But the goodwill that greeted Trump when he entered the Oval Office has given way to tensions as he fights for a second term. Trump’s relationship with the military has grown increasingly fraught over the past couple of years, as he made one decision after another that rankled military chiefs and rank-and-file soldiers alike. The Atlantic's report last week that Trump repeatedly disparaged members of the military and described America's war dead as "losers" and "suckers" was another serious blow. “That’s a cut to the heart of everybody who serves,” said David Lapan, a retired Marine colonel and former spokesman for both the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. Fresh tension erupted Monday when Trump accused senior military leaders of advocating "endless wars" to please defense contractors. Army Chief of Staff Gen. James McConville quickly pushed back, saying he and his colleagues only recommend putting troops in harm's way as a "last resort.""

Now those numbers have reversed. In the latest results — based on more than 1,000 active-duty troops surveyed in late July and early August, about half — 49.9% — had an unfavorable view, while 38% had a favorable view. Of those polled, more than 59% of officers said they have a poor view of the president. Among enlisted respondents, 47% said they have an unfavorable view."
Bob Woodward supplied audio tapes to the press, and to CNN and MSNBC. It was tapes which brought Nixon's presidency to an end. It looks like Woodward just ruined Trump's presidency with these revelations. Woodward did not tape Trump without his knowledge, he asked first. And Trump was stupid enough to say "OK", clear as a bell. Then Trump started to run at the mouth. It was amazing. And the election is 53 days away.

Trump Consistently Bends Reality, Sells His Narrative In Interviews For Woodward Book Ron Elving September 9, 20202:08 PM ET Trump Consistently Bends Reality, Sells His Narrative In Interviews For Woodward Book excerpt: "At another point, discussing how well he gets along with Turkey's brutish strongman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Trump seems almost reflective: "It's funny the relationships I have [with foreign leaders], the tougher and meaner they are the better I get along with them. You know? Explain that to me someday, okay?""
'I didn't lie': A subdued but defensive Trump denies he misled despite tape Kevin Liptak-Profile-Image By Kevin Liptak, CNN Updated 5:59 PM ET, Thu September 10, 2020 A subdued but defensive Trump denies he misled despite tape - CNNPolitics excerpt: "And he claimed his goal through it all was to convey calm, though Trump has previously stoked fear on other topics, including on Thursday morning when he tweeted "America's Suburbs will be OVERRUN with Low Income Projects, Anarchists, Agitators, Looters" if he doesn't win the election."
Trump lies to induce calm when he thinks it will help his reelection and lies to induce fear when he thinks it will help his reelection.
