My late mother used to play in the lanes in 1910. You could get the horse through, but you had to leave the cart at the end. My first visit to her family home was in 1954
Back in those days, the only thing electric was the railway that ran along the beach from Hove to the start of the undercliff. Needless to say, I found the generating station. On one of my visits, following a few days with my father at Dungeness I told them how to fit a nuclear reactor, they must have had a good laugh. Does the railway still run today.?
