What's next for America's coronavirus epidemic? 'Rolling hot spots.'

    excerpt:

""The Midwest was relatively spared" from the country's coronavirus epidemic early on because the region was "prepared because [of] what happened in New York; [it] was such a catastrophe that things got very serious out here in the Midwest—Republican and Democratic governors alike—really were very careful. And that was good, so we had really a low rate of cases," Murphy explained. However, he said, "And then what happened in the Midwest ... because it wasn't … as bad as New York, wasn't as bad as the last Southern wave—things just kind of slowly crept out of control and it became incredibly political. And people forgot about the fact that this is a pandemic."

Amesh Adalja, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, told CNN that he expects the United States will continue "to see … rolling hot spots" like it's experiencing now, as governors struggle to "right-size their response" to new coronavirus outbreaks and areas throughout the country "have more or less controls in place."

"Many governors do their own thing as best as they can and some do better than others. … So it's not surprising to me that you see this kind of slipping out of control in certain places and getting back under control … and then the same thing being repeated over and over again," Adalja said. "I think this will be the new normal," he added.

Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Institute of Health, said the rolling hot spots are a result of "one mishap after another" in the United States' response to the country's coronavirus epidemic. "We didn't get here overnight," he said, adding, "The single factor that really differentiates us from everybody else is denialism that has pervaded our entire approach.""

Like the news about his leaked tax return information, Trump has been quiet about his campaign chairman Parscale whom he demoted in July being tackled and cuffed by the police. He's missing a golden opportunity to once again praise the police for doing such a great job and to encourage them to rough people up.

Ok, just watched the first 40 mins

Things like the part where Biden takes the position to just trust the "scientists" and there won't be a vaccine until next American Summer is very dangerous. Even though he is talking about Redfield who is more bureaucrat than scientist nowadays

The average Joe American in the street knows that's just way overly cautious, they know there will be something a lot sooner than that, before November, and the first couple may not be that effective

But sticking to next summer? That's pretty dumb

Other than that, the first 40 mins at least, for those that want answers to the issues, and don't care about either candidates personality.....yeah, Biden got steamrolled, Trump did 80% of the talking

No, it wasnt as much of a Trainwreck as the left media tried to make it out, no surprises there

At least Biden didn't have any Dementia moments, but a stronger Democrat candidate in their 40s or 50s would have easily been able to turn that

VG, like all Trump supporters loves a bully, an idiot who runs red lights and mows down dogs, children, and old ladies.

Of course he thinks Trump won the debate...he's as clueless and dangerous as Trump himself.

No, Trump could have handled it better, been less confrontational, throw in a lot more funny quips here and there, not been as noisy etc etc

But Biden is just a wet sock, seriously THIS guy is the best guy you could come up with?

Trump to appeal court decision about Pendley.

Trump To Appeal Removal Of 'Polarizing' Public Lands Chief

    excerpt:

"Even though Pendley has been leading the agency since Aug. 2019, his official title has remained deputy director of policy and programs.

Jordani said Pendley neither received Senate confirmation nor was he serving as an acting director and therefore his appointment was not in violation of the Federal Vacancies Reform Act, which bars acting agency officials from serving for more than 210 days.

Nevertheless, the shuffling of temporary appointments and non-confirmed agency directors has been a hallmark of the Trump era. Democrats have likened it to a shell game where the president can keep close control over his appointees while skirting Senate oversight, as is required by the Constitution."

Trump has had neither a Senate-confirmed official nor an acting director for Pendley's office for over 210 days. An acting director has 210 day limit. Trump bypassed the limit by having a deputy director running the office who didn't even have the title of acting director, let alone director. It's one more step to circumvent the rules.

Who is "Everyone", exactly... We need names of everybody that has forgotten about the tax returns.

Otherwise your post is just more trolling.

Trump did 80 percent of the talking, (and mostly out of his ass) because he kept interrupting Biden when it wasn’t his turn to speak. He completely hijacked the debate!

Trump has made numerous accusations about people supposedly being sick or crazy.

This may be Donald Trump's most damaging legacy - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"* In January, Trump tweeted this about House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff: "Shifty Adam Schiff is a CORRUPT POLITICIAN, and probably a very sick man."

    * In late 2019, Trump said that Pelosi "had a total meltdown in the White House today," adding: "It was very sad to watch. Pray for her, she is a very sick person."

    * In September 2019, Trump called Schiff "a sick man."

    * In August 2018, Trump said that the media was "very dangerous & sick!"

    * In May 2016, Trump said then Fox News host Megyn Kelly was "sick, & the most overrated person on tv."
Trump has also repeatedly questioned the mental fitness of 2020 presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

"Joe has absolutely no idea what's happening," Trump said earlier this month. He did the same thing to Hillary Clinton during the 2016 campaign. "She's got bad temperament. She could be crazy," Trump said of Clinton on the campaign trail in 2016. "She could actually be crazy."

He's also tagged Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders with the nickname "Crazy Bernie," referred to entertainer Bette Midler as a "washed-up psycho," called Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz "nuts" and "unstable," and described Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham as a "nut job.""

People have the power to impose the ultimate social distancing on Trump in November.

Trump knows it and is trying every possible ploy to disrupt the election.

Trump looked and sounded like a whiny competitor to an incumbent at the presidential debate.
