Trump supporters taking it upon themselves to mirror Nixon's dirty tricks campaign by sending out robocalls
to suppress black voter turnout in Detroit.

Trump won Michigan in 2016 by a mere 10,000 votes, mostly due to a low black voter turnout.

These two clowns have done this for years and had gotten away with it, only this time they were so arrogant
they included their names on the calls to gain personal notoriety within the far right movement.

Trump doesn't seem to say much anymore about the coal miners in WV who were symbolic of other downtrodden groups whose votes he used to try to garner

He has spent an inordinate amount of time in 2020 on culture wars and race-baiting.

According to Wikipedia,Trump's presidential trips to West Virginia have dwindled since 2018.

Trump allies are handing out cash to black voters
Organizers have begun holding events in black communities where they lavish praise on the president while handing out thousands of dollars in giveaways.

Trump allies are handing out cash to black voters

    excerpt:

"In the closing weeks of the 2016 campaign, efforts to depress black voter turnout were central to the Trump team’s efforts, and he performed slightly better with that group than Republican nominee Mitt Romney did in 2012. This election cycle, Trump’s campaign is making more concerted, earlier investments in black voter outreach.

While black voters are expected to overwhelmingly support the Democratic nominee again this year, if Trump is able to win over a small percentage of black voters in key states, or persuade some of them to sit out the election rather than vote against him, it could make a difference in closely contested races.

The election year initiative by the Urban Revitalization Coalition to improve Trump’s image in black communities could bolster those efforts."

Mister Murray who was a giant in the coal business and was always against Black Lung Disease Benefits for the miners has now applied for federal Black Lung Disease benefits for himself. He sort of reminds me of Trump.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/elections/2020/10/03/trump-covid-live-updates/

    excerpt:

"At a Saturday morning news conference, members of Trump’s medical team at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center said the president is fever-free and that they are “extremely happy” with the progress he has made. But Mark Meadows, the White House chief of staff, said Trump went through a “very concerning” period over the last day, according to the Associated Press. Meadows also said the next two days will be critical in terms of his health.

Trump’s medical team also suggested the president knew he tested positive for the coronavirus earlier than had been reported. Sean P. Conley, Trump’s physician, said we are “72 hours into the diagnosis,” meaning the president could have tested positive as early as Wednesday. And the team refused to answer key questions about when the president was first diagnosed and first symptomatic, and whether he had received supplemental oxygen."

News reports said Hope Hick's positive test result occurred on Thursday.

Dr. Conley said Saturday morning that Trump was 72 hours into the diagnosis. That would put Trump's diagnosis on Wednesday, before that of Hicks.

Trump said he was tested for the coronavirus on Thursday.

Conley walked away from the new briefing when asked if Trump was taking steroids.

It was apparent that something was amiss when Trump officials were suddenly seen wearing face coverings.

It's akin to the public knowing that Trump was missing when his Twitter account went quiet for hours. He was on a secret trip to Iraq to visit troops that turned out to be not so secret, courtesy his otherwise incessant use of Twitter.

The Trump administration is deeply entrenched in particular mindsets and behaviors. A sudden stop of those irrational and addictive behaviors makes it easy to know when something has gone abnormal for Trump (or, for normal healthy people, gone normal).

Trump Says He’ll Begin ‘Quarantine Process’ After Hope Hicks Tests Positive for Coronavirus

    excerpt:

"However, as the president traveled in the afternoon for a fund-raiser at his private club in Bedminster, N.J., he had fewer aides than normal accompanying him, aides said. And some who had been around Ms. Hicks this week were seen wearing masks."

Wisconsin is currently home to nearly half the places in the U.S. with the worst outbreaks.

Trump planned to rally in two of them, Green Bay and La Crosse, before he contracted the disease he's been dismissing.

"It isn't something the American public needs to worry about or be frightened about, because we have ways of preparing and screening of people coming in [from China]," National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Director Anthony Fauci told "The Cats Roundtable" on 970 AM-N.Y., per The Hill

President Trump, at 'serious risk' of COVID-19 complications according to experts, takes experimental drug

    excerpt:

"To be sure, Trump’s chances of recovery are still high. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s most recent data, of the 392,916 people between the ages of 65 to 74 who have contracted COVID-19, 31,284 have died. That means Trump, who is 74 and considered obese, has roughly a 90 percent chance of survival. But experts say it’s important that he — and others with similar risk factors — take the virus seriously.

“He’s at serious risk; this is not a joke,” says Yahoo Life Medical Contributor Dr. Dara Kass. The CDC notes that obesity can triple the risk of hospitalization for those with COVID-19. But more recent research has painted an even more grim picture. A study published in the journal Wiley in late August found that people with obesity are 113 percent more likely to be hospitalized, 74 percent more likely to be admitted to an intensive care unit and 48 percent more likely to die."

So much fuss over the President right now, it's astounding

Whether it's good or bad press, you'd have to go back to Kennedy for the last time a President gots this much attention

Covid diagnosis will be a reminder to many how much they love him

Chris Christie just checked into the hospital too. Mitch McConnell just shut down the Senate until October 19 because so many Republican Senators are sick with COVID-19 and that says something, huh?

What that says is he wouldn't have the number of votes for Trump's supreme court nominee... Nothing less, nothing more.

Two of the U.S. senators who have tested positive for the coronavirus attended Trump's glitter show for Supreme Court nominee Barrett which occurred before Ginsburg was even buried.

Ironically, it has now hampered the Republicans in the Senate from carrying out confirmation hearings for Barrett and confirmation of district judges.

McConnell cancels Senate votes for two weeks as Republican lawmakers test positive for coronavirus

    excerpt:

"One place where that “enemy” appears to have been present was the White House event to introduce Judge Barrett as the nominee on Sept. 26. While lawmakers were tested upon arriving and allowed into the Rose Garden only after receiving a negative test result, attendees were told they could remove masks because everyone had tested negative, according to a GOP aide. At least seven people who were there have since tested positive, including Sens. Lee and Tillis.

Congress’s Office of the Attending Physician and private doctors have advised senators and aides of their potential risk and suggested testing, according to interviews with aides. A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-funded study of Covid-19 cases found the average incubation period was about five days, so a person who has contracted the virus could be contagious even after testing negative.
