You do realize McConnell wouldn't be canceling anything if those were Democrat senators that were sick.

 

Also, a large contingent of secret service agents.

 

Trump is compelled to proceed unimpeded with his glamor events that put people at risk and later cripple him.

 

Notre Dame president Rev. John Jenkins attended Trump's event to promote Supreme Court nominee Barrett who graduated from Notre Dame.

Jenkins has stated "I regret my error in judgment" when referring to his decision to not wear a mask and to shake hands with people during Barrett's ceremony.

 

The event Trump held for Barrett looks like it was a spreader event. About 200 people attended outdoors.

Consider what might happen after a Trump rally with thousands of people together without face coverings, even if outdoors like Trump's ceremony for Barrett. On top of that, at Trump's scheduled virus hot spot locations such as Green Bay and La Crosse in WI where cases are soaring.

At least 8 people who attended Supreme Court nomination ceremony have tested positive for COVID-19

"At least eight people who have tested positive for coronavirus were in attendance at the Supreme Court nomination ceremony at the White House last weekend. The number of people in President Trump's circle who tested positive for the virus is growing, following news of the president and first lady's positive diagnoses early Friday morning.

On Saturday, September 26, Mr. Trump nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett to replace the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on the Supreme Court. He held an outdoor ceremony at the Rose Garden, which was attended by about 200 people — many of whom were not wearing masks or following social distancing guidelines. There are also photos of some of the attendees inside the White House on Saturday.

There is now growing concern that Mr. Trump contracted the virus at the ceremony, which could have possibly been a "super-spreader" event. Photos from the event show that chairs were not socially distanced, with many of the people who have tested positive sitting in close proximity."

 

Republicans Murkowski and Collins have said they don't wish to vote on Barrett before the election. Three Republican senators unavailable due to their virus infection means the Republicans have an insufficient number of votes for the Barrett confirmation.

Oddly, the infection of two senators is connected to an apparent virus spreader event at the White House to promote Barrett that they attended.

Trump wants a vote before the election in the event he loses the election and appeals to the Supreme Court to save his reelection.

One option being discussed was holding the Judiciary Committee vote in the Senate chamber with the infected senators perched in the galleries overlooking the floor, far from their colleagues."

2. Those 8 mingled on other occasion, there will be no way to determine when exactly xny of them contracted the virus

3. 192 other people at the event didn't contract the virus

4. At around 40,000 new cases a day, around 10,000 - 20,000 registered Democrats across the country contracted the virus the same day , with at least 40% of them regularly wearing masks

 

I don't know who the unfortunate couple were hugging and talking to maskless Chris Christie with seemingly less than six feet between them, but she should probably be tested right away.

 

1. It is if they're "important people" who will be mingling with lots more people.
2. That's true. Also irrelevant.
3. That we know of. Some people are unsymptomatic but can be spreaders.
4. Show us the evidence.

 

Irrelevant?

It's the most relevant part, if they can't contact trace correctly 100% of the time. Then it's only a matter of time. Even 1% of 40,000to 70,000 cases a day is 400-700 cases a day that are off in the great unknown

 

Who cares when exactly any of them contracted the virus? Eight people who attended the event either had the virus or picked it up there, were mostly maskless, and in close proximity to other guests.
