US election 2020: Trump ready to return to public events, says doctor

US President Donald Trump has completed his course of treatment for Covid-19 and can return to public engagements this weekend, his physician has said.

Dr Sean Conley said the president had responded "extremely well" to medication and had "remained stable".

Mr Trump later said he would probably take another Covid test on Friday and hoped to hold a rally over the weekend.

Trump ready to return to public life, says doctor

    Your not listening closely enough.

You can tell he's struggling to breathe, and as usual trump is lying through his ass.

Dude, it's 17 minutes of Trump rattling off, 3500 words but he is supposedly struggling to breath?

Such desperation to want Trump to do worse with covid

I'm telling you, he gets over it, and he already has, then it's by by to Covid panic nonsense

.... well at least until the middle of your winter, by which time the election is already over

I'm still totally dumbfounded how so many just put up with all the destruction caused by the BLM riots

Still sceptical theress not a silent wave of voters that will vote accordingly

Also the desperation doesn't seem to add up, if you take the polls at face value, the Bidens a shoe in, so what's to worry about? Then why all the desperate news stories wanting Trump to be sick, Pelosi crapping on about mental health assessments

    Something smells funny

I can guarantee there is a silent majority. the average of bidens lead is about 10% with a margin of error between 3-5% , not so commanding

Complacency would be foolish. No telling what this wildman is likely to do, but he seems to be gearing up to declaring the election invalid if the doesn't win it, letting his hand-picked courts decide it, and if that doesn't work, sicking his bully boy terrorists on us.

The silent majority is another name for the inattentive public, defined by Gyngell and Wesley (2007, p. 162) as 'the largely passive--maybe somewhat less so this year. As used by Spiro Agnew, Nixon's VP, the term referred to Americans who supposedly were ardent supporters of Tricky Dick's policies, but were "trong silent types", not talking to fancy pants pollsters but waiting till election day to flex their muscles. Following in Nixon's footsteps, the Trump administration is predicting the same this election--a phenomenon political scientist Kevin Banda of Tecas Tech U calls “adventures in strategic storytelling.” My experience here in red state Oklahoma is that it's the Trump supporters who are shouting their preference from the rooftops, and us Biden supporters who tend to keep our opinions to ourselves, lest our neighbors beat us to a pulp, and meet in catacombs, biden' our time for the big day! Of course it won't matter much in the presidential race, because of winner take all for the electoral college, but there are the downballot races to consider. Inhofe is running again for Senator at the age of 86, having disserved the Senate since the "Republican Revolution" of the Clinton era. Time to put him out to pasture!

And we care about Kevin Banda why?

" Kevin Banda is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at Texas Tech University and is the Interim Director of the Master of Public Administration Program. He received his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his B.A. from the University of Missouri. His research focuses broadly on public opinion"

The average Trump supporter is NOT online is Not Posting in forums, they are small business owners , they are women who are scared to admit they are for Trump, they are average Joes swayed by the "cult of personality"

EVERY weekend not to far from where I live there is a house selling Trump hats, signs etc and there are scads of people buying that shit , ignorant of the fact that its more than likely "made in china" oh the irony of that but .........

There are several boats here in south fla, boats that retail for well over 100k that are wrapped bow to stern with Trump wraps EP-200508956.jpg
Do you see that kind of support for Biden??

Trump is the leader of violent militias of white supremacists. He did tell them to "Liberate Michigan" and in contrast: Biden is not a leader of Democrat protestors. Biden has not issued any marching orders. VG, you really need to think things through before dishing out your foreign none sense.

Because he made a comment about the silent majority I thought was topical. And public opinion is his specialty.

Doesn't sound all that silent to me! But is it a majority?

Trump has always had a loyal group of fans who support him no matter what. They make up about two-fifths of the population, and that's held steady throughout his four years. Thing is tho, it's never a majority, unless you believe the other 11% is truly silent. Consistently, since he took office, majorities have disapproved of his performance.

I had a group of Trump supporters over to my patio last night for our weekly get together. They pride themselves in not following the news, since it's all fake, or if they do, to get it from FOX. One began the conversation with a rant about the stupid government restrictions over Covid-19. He was afraid of the virus at first, but this week (after emerging from quarantine afer exposure) is so tired of it he hopes he gets Covid to get it over with. He then went on to disclose a long standing bout with anxiety attacks. I don't know whether this is typical, but I found it insightful at least concerning his attitude toward the issue. This microcosm of Trump support consisted of a small businessman, a plumber, and a retired public relations officer for an electric co-op, and a veterinarian. I don't think they've ever been polled, but if contacted by a pollster would probably tell him to go fuck himself--unless it's a she, in which case they'd be more polite.

Nice Edit on your post btw .... Lets define silence for the purpose as it pertains to this, your group as you stated would NOT speak to a pollster that would constitute silence as pertaining to this discussion so in fact there IS a group whether it be a majority or a minority that is for Trump that is NOT being accounted for by the polls
