"HE'LL LISTEN TO THE SCIENTISTS!!" screamed trump, thinking that this was a hit on Biden. God, what a dumb-ass. Reminds me of a movie in which some redneck took offense at being called something that offended him--" are you calling me educated"? he said in a threatening tone of voice!

Twitter blocked misleading statements by Scott Atlas.

Trump likes Atlas who shares his ideology. Atlas is a radiologist and lacks background for infectious diseases. Atlas was also a regular on Fox.

Even Birx has asked that Atlas be dismissed. Birx was once considered to be on the side of Trump due to her seemingly apologetic stance toward him during the now defunct coronavirus briefings at the White House.

Trump has gone from Fauci to Birx to Atlas. It's a common pattern for Trump who continually dismisses those who disagree with him until he finds a total incompetent lackey, which eventually leads to an entire administration comprised of nothing but such people.

4591 new coronavirus cases in Wisconsin on October 20. It surpasses the previous record of 3928 on October 18.

Trump's spreader rallies in WI add fuel to the flames.

It's a Republican fantasy that black people will think they are being treated like children by the Democrats. So they will see BLM as terrorists and want to prove they are not a part of that life. So they will of course vote for Trump and say "democrats invented the KKK". It's very silly. Almost any black person in America has a story that justifies BLM. They are followed in stores, stopped for no reason by cops, etc. Most don't get shot or make the news but they feel uncomfortable. And they see the simple fact that the KKK and those types did not vote for a Democrat recently. So there must be something about Republicans that they like.

The right is still pissed that Obama got almost all of the black vote. It has to mean black people are racist so picking Trump and all the OK to be white thinking is only fair. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. They have created a fantasy world where black people are too stupid to see that. They want them to be as angry about social change as they are. It was the same in the civil rights era too. Why make all the fuss? Slavery is over so really YOU make your own problems by rocking the boat. The greatest American boat where you can sail wherever you want if you work hard.

New York Times: Tax records show Trump maintains Chinese bank account - CNNPolitics

    excerpt:

"President Donald Trump's tax records show he has pursued expansive business projects in China for years and even maintains a Chinese bank account, The New York Times reported Tuesday, disclosures that deal a blow to the President's efforts to paint Democratic nominee Joe Biden as the presidential candidate who is soft on China.

An analysis of Trump's tax records by the Times shows that the President holds a previously unreported bank account in China that was not included on his public financial disclosures because it is held under a corporate name. Trump also maintains bank accounts in Britain and Ireland.

The Chinese account, the newspaper said, is controlled by Trump International Hotels Management and it paid $188,561 in taxes in the country from 2013 to 2015."

Trump ups pressure on Barr to probe Bidens as election nears

Trump ups pressure on Barr to probe Bidens as election nears

    excerpt:

"Trump’s hasn’t hidden his frustration. He recently retweeted a photo of Barr with the caption “for the love of GOD ARREST SOMEBODY.” During a rally in Arizona on Monday, he suggested Biden would be in prison if Barr wasn’t such “a very nice man.”

“I know people that would have had him locked up five weeks ago,” Trump said. “Bill Barr is a very nice man and a very fair man. And in many ways, it doesn’t make some of us happy.”

Barr has privately expressed frustration over the president’s public pronouncements. Although Barr is broadly in agreement with Trump on the need to investigate the origins of the Russia probe, he’s often bemoaned Trump’s lack of understanding about the intricacies of the legal system and the steps that need to be taken to complete an investigation.

As the election nears, Barr has kept a lower profile, limiting his time in front of the cameras to avoid facing direct questions from the media about Trump’s demands for greater Justice Department involvement in the election."

Fascists forget how many liberal gun owners there are. They just don't spend all their time threatening and boasting. This is better OPSEC. For all these right wing types like to think they are an elite fighting force they simply are not. So much is known about who they are and how many of them there are. I mean how much do you know about the SEALS? They sure don't have a Facebook page where they discuss their plans but the 3%'ers do because the blustering is 90% of their plan. If you seem like enough of an "alpha male" people just will not mess with you.

This is the kind of thing that could push the more rational side over the edge. Each of them own a gun because they believe the other side is dangerous. The whole right wing vibe now is they will just do whatever they want because they can.

I expect that the Proud Boys will have some personal information leaked and many Democratic militias will now move on to the next phase of their own plans. Pepper spraying a protester to be edgy is one thing but voter intimidation is the sort of thing you own a Ar-15 for. Proud Boys likely have a man on the inside who opened a file like any grandma can. It takes liberal college to understand how to hack properly. People like Anonymous are not Republicans. You look on Facebook and that racist has told you more than you need to make their life hard. It's the go to place for right wing people now. Shooting fish in a barrel.

Trump and the strongmen: how US leader fell for autocrats

Trump and the strongmen: how US leader fell for autocrats - France 24

    excerpt:

"He's psychologically terrified by weakness," Peter Trumbore, professor of political science at Oakland University in Michigan said.

Trump's attraction to power was on display long before he won the White House on a promise to "make America great again."

In a 1990 interview with Playboy magazine, the billionaire property developer declared that Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, who helped end the Cold War, had "not a firm enough hand" with pro-democracy demonstrators.

Three decades later, he continues to lavish praise on leaders who wield power ruthlessly while bashing longtime democratic allies such as Canada and Germany.

In a recording, the US president admitted he was fond of authoritarian leaders, telling journalist Bob Woodward the "tougher and meaner" they are, "the better I get along with them."

    - 'President for life' -

In 2017, he threatened dictator Kim Jong Un with "fire and fury" if "Little Rocket Man" endangered the US, only to shake his hand in a historic visit to North Korea two years later.

While Trump's outreach to Kim won plaudits, his assessment that the mercurial North Korean, who is accused of gross human rights violations, had a "great and beautiful vision for his country" was met with widespread derision.

With China too, his message has swung wildly, lurching between tough talking on trade and the spread of Covid-19, to praise for Chinese President Xi Jinping after China's ruling party abolished term limits in 2018.

"He's now president for life... I think it's great," Trump declared.

Trump should start borrowing some of the doomsday predictions of Pat Robertson before the election. They're even more bombastic than Trump's.

Televangelist Pat Robertson predicts Trump win, then chaos, then the end of the world

    excerpt:

"Robertson has made such prophesies before and was wrong. In 1976, he predicted the world would end in 1982. And in his 1990 book, "The New Millennium," he said the world would be destroyed on April 29, 2007.

So maybe that’s why on Tuesday, after describing the destruction the asteroid will cause, Robertson said, “then, maybe the end.’’

Robertson said more than five years will pass between the end of the election and the asteroid’s arrival. He predicted horrible civil disobedience will commence after the election, there will be at least two attempts on Trump’s life and a war against Israel will end only when God intervenes.

“God is going to bring a period of great peace,’’ Robertson said.

That is, until the asteroid hits."

Treasury Department says Ukrainian linked to Rudy Giuliani is 'Russian agent'
Giuliani said he had "no reason to believe [Derkach] is a Russian agent."
By Jack Date and John Santucci

Treasury Department says Ukrainian linked to Rudy Giuliani is 'Russian agent'

    excerpt:

"Andrii Derkach, a member of the Ukrainian Parliament, and three other Russian-linked individuals were designated, Thursday, by Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control, for attempting to influence the U.S. electoral process.

"Andrii Derkach and other Russian agents employ manipulation and deceit to attempt to influence elections in the United States and elsewhere around the world," Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in a statement.

Last November, Derkach appeared with Giuliani as part of a One America News (OAN) "investigation" that aired in December, the same week the House of Judiciary Committee approved articles of impeachment against the president."

The gullibility and silliness of Giuliani to not think that his Ukraine contacts might be Russian agents.

In trying to dig up dirt on Biden, Giuliani tries to launch a counter-investigation (with the fringe One America News) to the Mueller investigation of Trump and his family members who were looking for dirt on Hillary and who were duped by Russian agents in 2016. Giuliani ends up himself being duped by Russian agents, possibly implicating himself in a criminal investigation just like Trump.

Additional bad news for Trump about the virus he has continually dismissed from the start.

The excess deaths related to the coronavirus are hitting young and middle age adults and disproportionately Blacks and Latinos.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused nearly 300,000 more deaths than expected in a typical year
    Lenny Bernstein
    October 21, 2020

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/heal...1d77c6-12e1-11eb-ba42-ec6a580836ed_story.html

    excerpt:

"The CDC said the novel coronavirus, which causes covid-19, has taken a disproportionate toll on Latinos and Blacks, as previous analyses have noted. But the CDC also found, surprisingly, that it has struck 25- to 44-year-olds very hard: Their “excess death” rate is up 26.5 percent over previous years, the largest change for any age group.

It is not clear whether that spike is caused by the shift in covid-19 deaths toward younger people between May and August or deaths from other causes, the CDC said.

Yhe report comes with just two weeks left in a presidential campaign whose central issue is President Trump’s handling of the pandemic. Trump has sought at every turn, including in remarks Monday, to minimize the virus’s impact, despite a covid-19 death toll that is likely to be the third-leading cause of mortality in the United States this year, behind heart disease and cancer. That stance has proved to be the president’s enduring weakness as the election looms Nov. 3."

400,000 American deaths due to the coronavirus and excess deaths associated with it for a disease that Trump says impacts practically no one.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/heal...1d77c6-12e1-11eb-ba42-ec6a580836ed_story.html

    excerpt:

"The new CDC data covers Feb. 1 to Oct. 3. Woolf said the total is likely to reach 400,000 by the end of the year. The numbers were assembled by the National Center for Health Statistics, a unit of the CDC.

Outside analyses, including some by The Washington Post and researchers at Yale University, have found two main causes for excess deaths. Many probably were the result of covid-19, although they were not recorded that way on death certificates. Others are probably the result of deaths at home or in nursing homes from heart attacks, diabetes, strokes and Alzheimer’s disease, among people afraid to seek care in hospitals or unable to get it."
