Trump is upset because he thinks that a hypothetical plane crash that kills 500 people isn't mentioned in the news because people are talking about the coronavirus to thwart his reelection.

Trump needs to be informed that the coronavirus is killing Americans at a rate that is approaching 1000 per day, That's about two of his horrific plane crashes per day.

Trump’s closing message is lying about the coronavirus at rallies that spread infection
Even as cases hit new highs, Trump keeps lying that the pandemic will soon “be over.”

Trump’s closing message is lying about the coronavirus at rallies that spread infection

    excerpt:

"With the pandemic getting worse, not better, President Donald Trump tried to turn reality on its head during a series of rallies on Saturday in North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

“We’re rounding the turn. Our numbers are incredible,” Trump claimed in Lumberton, North Carolina, before blasting the media for its alleged fear-mongering.

But the US is not rounding a turn for the better. Friday and Saturday saw new daily coronavirus infections in the US surge past 80,000 for the first time ever. And it’s not just cases — hospitalizations are up more than 33 percent over the last month, and the seven-day average of deaths is now back above 800.

“That’s all I hear about now. Turn on television, ‘Covid, Covid, Covid Covid Covid.’ A plane goes down, 500 people dead, they don’t talk about it. ‘Covid Covid Covid Covid.’ By the way, on November 4, you won’t hear about it anymore,” Trump said. (In case it’s not clear, the plane crash he referred to was made up.)"

Trump’s campaign made stops nationwide. Coronavirus cases surged in his wake in at least five places.
Erin Mansfield, Josh Salman and Dinah Voyles Pulver, USA TODAY Published 5:04 p.m. ET Oct. 22, 2020 | Updated 5:58 a.m. ET Oct. 24, 2020

Trump’s campaign made stops nationwide. Then coronavirus cases surged.

    excerpt:

"The CDC has consistently cited the dangers of group events such as weddings, funerals and rallies because of how easily they can spread the virus.

At every turn, Trump has defied these warnings. The Rose Garden event in particular was a continuation of the administration’s strategy since mid-April, said Kathleen Sebelius, who served as the secretary of Health and Human Services for six years under the Obama administration.

On April 17, a day after the CDC issued guidelines to tamp down the virus and reopen the economy, Sebelius said the president chose to move in a very different direction, tweeting that states should be “liberated.”

“From that day on, if you’re a fan of the president, don’t wear a mask, drink bleach, take hydroxychloroquine or do whatever has been seen kind of as a badge of honor,” she said. “It’s reckless, it’s immoral and it’s unacceptable.”"

Trump has been saying 'rounding the turn' since the coronavirus started impacting the U.S. He called for packing the churches with people in mid-April to celebrate the end of the virus.

He's still using the phrase 'incredible numbers' to make an increasing rate of hospitalizations, morbidity and death appear to be just an increasing rate of new cases that he mistakenly thinks are innocuous.

The rate of hospitalizations and morbidity is increasing at a much higher rate than the increasing rate of testing, a fact Trump doesn't understand.

In a recent poll Trump's un-favorability rating was at 57%

Numbers like that do not bode well exactly one week before election.Hell even Hitler was more popular than that in 1945

I think it should also be noted that one week after Hitler shot himself in April 1945, there was a massive wave of suicides which spread throughout Germany - Entire families committed suicide.

They idolized the Führer and adored him like a messiah, Just like Trump supporters do today.........interesting.

Trump said at a rally that his spending $2.5 trillion on military equipment made the U.S. the envy of the world.

He talks about national security like it is someone buying a car to look better than the neighbors.

Trump is incorrect about spending $2.5 trillion on equipment. Procurement for equipment was about 20% of total military spending.

A news clip from the Washington post: It shows the consequences of behavior like that at a Trump rally.

At least 20 infected and five dead after South Carolina ‘shag dancing’ event
    By Antonia Farzan

At least 20 people who attended a South Carolina “shag dancing” event in September have contracted the coronavirus and another five have died, according to the Myrtle Beach Sun News.

Shag dancing, a kind of six-count dance that reached peak popularity in the 1940s and 1950s, is still practiced throughout the coastal Carolinas by a predominantly elderly demographic. Despite the risks posed by the pandemic, dozens flocked to North Myrtle Beach last month for “Shaggin’ On Main,” a gathering hosted by Duck’s Beach Club and other local venues that received approval from the state. Public Facebook photos from the event showed few people wearing masks as they danced and drank in front of live bands and dined in large groups, the Post and Courier reported.

“My friends are dying. It’s the worst I’ve ever seen,” Lulu Quick, who runs an establishment named Fat Harold’s Beach Club that has remained closed since March, told the paper. “If only everyone had been a little more careful.”

Trump uses a fake story about Obama supposedly leaving him an empty cupboard. He accused Obama supposedly of leaving him no equipment to deal with the coronavirus. He has also said Obama left the military with no ammunition.

Did Trump Inherit a 'Depleted' Military From Obama?

    excerpt:

"In one oft-repeated story, Trump illustrated his claim that Obama depleted the military by saying that the armed forces had “no ammunition” when he took office. In October 2019, for instance, Trump said: “When I took over our military, we did not have ammunition.”

This is not true. The military did not run out of ammunition during the Obama administration (or during any other administration, as far as we can tell).

In addition, Trump falsely claimed in August 2018, as he was signing the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2019, that the military had not received any money for years and years. Trump said: “We’ve been trying to get money. They never gave us money for the military for years and years. And it was depleted.”

This, again, is false. In fact, approximately $600 billion was spent on the military in the year before Trump took office."

Trump accused Obama of instituting a regulation that hampered coronavirus testing. Trump and his administration never specified the regulation.

Trump has continually fabricated such vague accusations about empty cupboards and regulations. On the surface they can sound factual if no one bothers to examine the details of his sketchy remarks.

India and the US have signed a military agreement on sharing sensitive satellite data amid Delhi's tense border standoff with Beijing.

Access to such data is considered vital for hitting missiles, drones and other targets with precision.

The deal was announced after the annual "2+2" high-level talks in Delhi on Tuesday.

Experts say the strengthening of India-US ties is aimed at countering China's influence in the region.

US Defence Secretary Mark Esper held talks with his Indian counterpart Rajnath Singh. US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo also met Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar.

You are just totally spreading misinformation there, number of daily deaths has not increased. It's only gone past 1000 in one day in the last month

At the same time, the US has 3 times as many active (current) cases as you did in April

Active cases triple, number of deaths go down, then yes, the mortality rate is dropping dramatically

There are 50,000 people in South Carolina that have tested positive since Sept 1st

49,980 of them didn't get it from that event

Also a safe bet at least 1/4 of those 50,000 were regularly wearing masks without eye protection or gloves

Trump and Barr lose in federal court in their attempt to have the U.S. government defend Trump in defamation case.

Judge: US can't replace Trump in columnist's slander suit

    excerpt:

"The judge ruled that a law protecting federal employees from being sued individually for things they do within the scope of their employment didn’t apply to a president.

“The President of the United States is not an employee of the Government within the meaning of the relevant statutes,” Kaplan wrote. “Even if he were such an employee, President Trumps allegedly defamatory statements concerning Ms. Carroll would not have been within the scope of his employment. Accordingly, the motion to substitute the United States in place of President Trump is denied.”

Lawyers for Carroll had written that “only in a world gone mad could it somehow be presidential, not personal, for Trump to slander a woman who he sexually assaulted.”

The Justice Department relied solely on written arguments in the dispute after its lawyer was banned from a Manhattan federal courthouse last week because he had not quarantined for two weeks after traveling to New York from a state on a list of those whose coronavirus test rates were high."
