Supreme Court puts off action on Trump-related cases; is it waiting for the clock to run out? excerpt: "The U.S. Supreme Court does not appear to be in a rush to decide legal matters related to President Donald Trump. The Supreme Court has yet to decide whether to hear President Donald Trump’s bid to shield his financial records from Manhattan prosecutors, the Washington Post reports. And it still has not decided whether it will hear a case challenging a three-day deadline extension for the counting of ballots in Pennsylvania."
It gets even worse than this. Like HIV-AIDS denialists, when the vaccine becomes available for the coronavirus, denialists will claim that the vaccine is causing COVID-19, the same COVID-19 that they were denying existed before the vaccine.
Trump wants his non-masked poll watchers to be no further from the ballots than the length of their assault weapons.
It's clear that Trump is in desperation mode after bringing Giuliani on board for the PA suit. Rudy Giuliani joins Trump campaign's sputtering legal effort in Pennsylvania The former New York City mayor joined the team after most of Trump's other attorneys in Pennsylvania backed off the effort. By Jane C. Timm Nov. 17, 2020, 2:35 PM EST Rudy Giuliani joins Trump campaign's sputtering legal effort in Pennsylvania excerpt: "Rudy Giuliani on Tuesday joined a court hearing over President Donald Trump's effort to contest the election results in Pennsylvania, baselessly alleging "widespread national voter fraud" while signaling yet another strategy pivot for the campaign's legal offensive. The former New York City mayor appeared alongside a Harrisburg attorney and conservative talk radio host, Marc Scaringi, and attorney Linda Kerns. He signed on to join the legal team after most of Trump's other attorneys had withdrawn or petitioned to withdraw from the suit in the last few days. It's the latest in the sputtering effort by Trump’s campaign to try and change the results of the 2020 election. Trump's team sought to delay Tuesday's scheduled hearing to accommodate for new counsel but U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann refused. Another hearing is slated for Thursday."
Senility must be contagious If there is anybody that I want to represent me in a legal case, it’s not Rudy.
I don’t know about y’all, but I think it’s time that Melania starts putting up those fucking Xmas decorations.
Trump's compelling evidence. Rudy Giuliani joins Trump campaign's sputtering legal effort in Pennsylvania excerpt: "One Michigan judge declared claims of widespread fraud alleged by a nonprofit as "mere speculation;" another rejected the Trump campaign's evidence — which included an affidavit of a poll worker alleging what another poll worker said, and a post-it note — as hearsay inadmissible in court. In another Michigan suit brought by the nonprofit Election Integrity Fund, a group that has set out to try and prove voter fraud, Judge Timothy M. Kenny, the chief judge of the Third Judicial Circuit Court, dismissed a request for an injunction declaring the allegation to be “mere speculation.” Seven suits were withdrawn or ended by the Trump campaign and Republican allies, as well."

Rudys strategy seems to be to bring weak cases to the courts in hopes that some flaky judge might take the bait or the case can then be appealed on up to the Supreme Court. If, however, the Supremes would reverse the election on the basis of non-existent evidence, it would be obvious the decision was based on politics and respect for the Supreme Court and democracy would be the losers--quite possibly an invitation to civil war. Probably, the ultimate motive is drama, conveying to the MAGA dummies that Trump is a fighter and has a case.
Rudy is fucking Trump. He is taking $20K each day he does this, because all the other lawyers quit him. Rudy is going to milk it until Trump can't pay anymore.
Infighting and an attempted 'coup': Trump team erupts into chaos as Giuliani takes over legal efforts Giuliani filed to appear in court on behalf of the campaign Tuesday. By Will Steakin, Katherine Faulders, and John Santucci November 17, 2020, 2:26 PM Infighting and an attempted 'coup': Trump team erupts into chaos as Giuliani takes over legal efforts excerpt: "As President Donald Trump’s legal efforts challenging the election results continue to hit dead ends, his campaign and legal teams have descended into chaos behind the scenes as many brace for the end of the post-election fight, multiple sources tell ABC News. Since launching a long-shot effort to overturn the election results through baseless claims of voter fraud, President Trump has suffered a dizzying barrage of court losses and setbacks around the country, leading him late last week to install Rudy Giuliani, his personal lawyer, to lead the legal efforts going forward. But Giuliani’s ascent has led to an explosion of infighting and disillusionment among the president’s longstanding legal team and top campaign officials, resulting in dueling factions emerging from inside the president’s dwindling campaign, multiple sources tell ABC News."
