He has to fight off state criminal charges, and that might take a toll on his health. He may want to run, but I don't think he will.
My thoughts exactly ,a republican friend from NY has an interesting theory,he thinks there will be a Trump on the ballot-his daughter Ivanka and that he will manage her campaign.
DeSantis has been in lockstep with Trump on the coronavirus. DeSantis expands ban on enforcing local mask mandates. ‘Killing Spree’: DeSantis Extends Ban On Mask Enforcement Amid Florida COVID-19 Spike “I. Have. No. Words. Anymore,” tweets epidemiologist Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding of the Federation of American Scientists. By Mary Papenfuss 11/26/2020 09:32 pm ET 'Killing Spree': DeSantis Extends Ban On Mask Enforcement Amid Florida COVID-19 Spike | HuffPost excerpt: "DeSantis extended an earlier order prohibiting localities from fining people who refuse to wear masks, effectively rendering mandates unenforceable. He extended the order less than a week after a bipartisan group of mayors pleaded with him to issue a statewide mask mandate. Experts widely regard masks as a simple, effective way to stem the tide of COVID-19. DeSantis is reportedly no longer taking phone calls from mayors. Chris King, the 2018 Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor, tweeted a news story of DeSantis’ latest move with a comment calling the decision a “killing spree.”"
Excuse my French but DeSantis is a fucking asshole and King is correct,it is effectively a killing spree.
Trump is delusional. He is still claiming that poll watchers were kicked out of polling rooms. Trump's own attorneys admitted to the judge that poll watchers were allowed in the rooms. Trump claims his attorneys didn't admit to anything. Other remarks by Trump during the briefing: "This election was rigged." "The whole world is watching." "The whole world is laughing at our electoral process." "No way Biden got 80 million votes." "The vaccines were me."
Trump continues to call for a signature audit for the Georgia election but it's not likely to happen. GA Republicans want ‘signature audit’ of absentee ballots. Why it likely won’t happen By Nick Wooten November 23, 2020 03:07 PM, Updated November 23, 2020 05:47 PM https://www.ledger-enquirer.com/news/politics-government/election/article247371684.html excerpt: "There’s no current structure in Georgia’s election law to audit the envelope or application signatures as Kemp requested, Sterling said. It’s unclear who would pay for that process and how it would be done. “The only way we could potentially do it is as part of an overall investigation, but we can’t open investigations based on a generalized (unhappiness) with the outcome,” he said. “There’s been no specific evidence presented. “I won’t characterize the rationales or reasons some people want to do this,” he added. “The questions aren’t based in evidence. They are based in emotional appeals from Facebook and Twitter that have no science behind them and no evidence behind them.”"
Trump is contending without evidence that massive voter fraud occurred in voter applications in Georgia and elsewhere. The Georgia signatures have already been checked twice before the election. Due to privacy laws, the ballots that have already been separated from the envelopes cannot be re-connected. If a signature problem is found via a post-election audit on an envelope that the county saves after the ballot has already been separated, the votes on its ballot couldn't be removed from the vote count because the ballot is no longer connected with its envelope.
How Georgia verifies signatures on absentee ballots By Mark Niesse, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Nov 19, 2020 How Georgia verifies signatures on absentee ballots excerpt: "Before election officials counted absentee ballots in Georgia, they checked voter signatures to help make sure that ballots came from the voters who returned them. That verification process reviewed signatures on absentee ballot envelopes when they were received at county election offices. Then ballots are separated from envelopes to protect the secret ballot, leaving no way to link voters to the candidates they chose. The right to cast a ballot in secret is guaranteed by the state Constitution. Another review of signatures on absentee ballot envelopes wouldn’t change election results during Georgia’s recount. That’s because even if more voter signatures were found to be invalid, election workers couldn’t connect those faulty signatures to a ballot after it’s been removed from the envelope. Election officials have rejected 2,011 absentee ballots so far in this year’s general election because of mismatched or missing voter signatures, according to the secretary of state’s office. Voters returned a total of 1.32 million absentee ballots. The rate of absentee ballot rejections because of signature problems, 0.15%, is the same as in the 2018 election. Two years ago, there were 454 absentee rejections because of signature issues out of 284,000 absentee ballots cast."
Signature matching Georgia why it can't be done again | 13wmaz.com excerpt: "Basically, you request an absentee ballot, and you sign an oath affirming you are who you say you are on the envelope you put that ballot in, and then you send it to the county election office. The worker there takes it, checks your signature to verify you are who you say you are, and then sends it along to be counted. That's how signature matching happens in Georgia in its most basic form. Now, the Georgia Secretary of State's Office actually added a signature matching step this year: When you requested an absentee ballot, they required a signature on your absentee ballot request form (or, if you requested it online, made you submit your driver's license number when you made the request through the Secretary of State's online portal). So they checked your signature before even sending you a ballot, and then checked it again when they received your ballot."
I have heard that also that donnie jr. might run. Now that would be a hoot. Of course these points are moot if the whole family is locked up. Let's say, for the sake of the conversation, that one of the trumps does run. Do the other republican candidates acquiesce to the trump name? One last thought, if ted(rafael)cruz, and little marco weren't any good in 2016, why would they be any good in 2024? Other remarks by Trump during the briefing: This election was rigged This election was rigged This election was rigged This election was rigged
At his Thanksgiving Day briefing, Trump made the same allegations as Sidney Powell whom he disassociated from his legal team. Some of Sidney Powell's accusations were made on Newsmax. Sidney Powell Now Claims Election Conspiracy Involved Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders excerpt: "On Saturday, Powell made even stronger claims during an interview on Newsmax. She accused Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican and key Trump ally, of accepting bribes from Dominion, the voting software company baselessly accused of switching millions of votes from Trump to Biden. She declined to provide evidence for this sensational claim, merely stating that the campaign's attorneys "have certainly been told there is evidence of that.""
Trump blamed his poor performance of his failed Taj Mahal casino on machines that he said were on fire due to so much customer demand. He later contended that his casino failures were successes because he exited the casino market earlier than others who failed later supposedly worse than he did. ‘Loser’: How a Lifelong Fear Bookended Trump’s Presidency excerpt: "The casino wasn’t ready; among other issues, only a quarter of the slot machines were open, leaving the cavernous space quiet and empty. “It was just horrible,” recalled Mr. O’Donnell, who wrote a book about his experiences with the future president. “It didn’t look like a normal casino.” Privately, Mr. Trump was furious, and blamed his brother Robert for some of the problems. (The younger Trump quit and did not speak to his brother for years.) Publicly, though, Mr. Trump boasted of the wonder that was the Taj Mahal. Appearing on CNN’s “Larry King Live” in April 1990, Mr. Trump said the only problem with the Taj Mahal’s opening day was too much success. Gamblers were playing the slots with such ferocity that the machines almost burst into flames. “We had machines that — they were virtually on fire,” Mr. Trump said. “Nobody’s ever seen anything like this.” The Taj Mahal filed for bankruptcy the following year, which left Mr. Trump’s many lenders and bondholders in the lurch."
Trump should use his casino failure alibi for his election loss. Trump: "Judge, the public voted for me so much that the Dominion machines malfunctioned and gave my votes to Biden."
I am hoping this is a more common occurence. Anyone who says that the SCOTUS has not become politicized is delusional, and to be honest it's been that way for awhile. Next thing that they will say that the liberals on HF were involved. that's heresay, and she is nuts.
