B-52s fly over Persian Gulf as Washington escalates war threat against Iran

    excerpt:

"Trump made clear his desire to attack Iran in a White House meeting with his security cabinet last month in which he floated a proposal for bombing Natanz, Iran’s main nuclear facility, a war crime that could kill thousands while poisoning many more. While senior aides reportedly talked him out of such an attack, military escalation against Iran has continued unabated.

Since then, the White House has sacked acting Defense Secretary Mark Esper, replacing him with ex-special forces colonel Christopher Miller, while conducting a wholesale purge of the Pentagon’s top civilian leadership, installing fanatically anti-Iranian Trump loyalists in key positions."

I believe Trump would start a war with Iran, out of pure spite, just to prevent Joe Biden from re-entering the Iran Nuclear deal

It is impossible to convince a chicken of anything. Congress has been doing everything they can to give him ulcers and a heart attack, but he is so far out of touch with reality nothing fazes him for long. He is an embarrassment to the wealthy, and if they can find him guilty of something, then they can pressure him to shut the fuck up and stay the hell out of the spotlight when he leaves office. Biden will pardon him, but not until the democrats make the republicans pay. Of course, republicans would be disappointed if nobody punished them for being bad.

A quarter of the country still insists the sun revolves around the earth, and 43% insist Donald Duck should be above the law. Maybe someone should tell the Lincoln project that Americans no longer want government.

I hope Biden is NOT stupid enough to pardon Heir Donald. He needs to reap what he has sown.

Donald Duck has only done what he's done, because Americans elected him, and you can't have a democracy when 43% of the population insists they want a dictator. Sorry, but they really, really, really want a dictator who is above the laws and allowed to commit even high crimes and treason, because only a Patriotic Traitor Can Make America Great Again! Sorry, but Donald Duck is the asshole America has always been and deserves.

Damn sad that most assuredly, block heads will abide. Also sad that this whole rig was set up for the few from the beginning. It continues.

Man I gave this some thought and agree with you on prima facia but I can't see Trump wanting to raise Barron. Melania could get more cash if she has primary custody. It's a tough call. If she cuts out after January 21st then she's rich for ever onward.

Melania could get all the cash she wants doing a Playboy centerfold spread, and she only sticks with Donald Duck because she is every bit as insane as he is, and struggles to tie her own shoes.

I dunno---if the court in southern New York follows the chumpsters taxes to its logical conclusion---he may be seen in 2023 foraging for half eaten chicken dinners behind Colonel Sanders. One can only hope!

Trump doesn't want to raise Barron... He just wouldn't want her raising him if she split. It's a spite thing. As far as cash goes, I'm sure it's all in the prenup... She probably gets very little, if anything.

It's obvious what the Chumps grand parents and his parents did to warp him beyond repair. His aberrant behavior has been passed on to his children IN SPADES. In Barron, there may be another ruined individual , so the best thing for that boy is to be away from the chump family--somehow. :(

The Perdue vs. Ossoff race is the competitive one. Perdue won the 2020 election by about 1.8 percent.

    Loeffler lost by about 7%.

You're correct, Scratcho. The whole system has been set up to benefit the FEW from the beginning.

This is why I've said on this forum that the REPUBLICAN PARTY has always been the party of the RICH. All one has to do is look back over the last 75 years or so and look at what legislation they've supported / written ........ and what they've opposed. They sell the American public with promises of tax cuts ...... but then give the biggest percentage of the tax breaks to the MEGA-RICH. They ALWAYS oppose any environmental protections because keeping our country clean and healthy isn't in the financial interests of the big CEO'S and their industrial corporations. (which are the biggest polluters - A McDonald's bag thrown out the car window is unsightly - but it doesn't poison the groundwater for decades. It's industrial chemical pollution that does the most harm.) They weaken or de-fund agencies that police the environmental laws to take out staff so there's less manpower to do the job. They roll back existing environmental laws so corporate polluters can continue to spew toxins of all sorts without having to spend money installing systems that reduce or eliminate environmental toxins. Spending money on such systems cuts into the corporate bottom line = their pay & bonuses.

Why do you think the most powerful UNION in the U.S. - the CHAMBER OF COMMERCE - donates sooooo much money $$$$$$$$ to the REPUBLICAN PARTY every election cycle??? It's so they get laws weakened, rolled back, or eliminated. And also part of the CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S is the continued attacks on American workers done to us by THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. They hate unions, because a huge number of people aligned together as a big group to negotiate better pay & benefits is their worst nightmare!!! It would mean they'd have to make do with a bit less BILLIONS, and they'd have to actually communicate with their workers in a way that's not "Do what I say and shut up!" With unions in past years - workers could make a decent living for their families and not work 60 hours a week (leaving their kids with sitters or in day-care). Even with better pay thanks to unions - relative to the cost of living - no workers got rich / independently wealthy, but they weren't always on the brink of poverty like sooo many American workers are today - while working longer hours for less pay, or being forced to work 2 or 3 jobs just to make ends meet. These attacks on workers are from THE REPUBLICAN PARTY ......... for the benefit of their HUGE MONEY donors - the MEGA RICH corporate executives.

This is why soooo many RICH REPUBLICANS got behind Trump from the start. They figured with him being rich himself, his interests and theirs would be alike. He'd "mind the BIG MONEY STORE" for them.

These are just some of the reasons I can't understand WHY ANY avg. Americans vote for the party that's making life harder & harder for them and their families, and helping to keep higher pollution levels in this country .......... THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. Don't listen to what they SAY ............. watch what they DO. Look at all the legislative moves they've made - they can't hide from public records.

Yeah ....... I'll just BET ol' Donny wants to take up the mantle of a good father and raise Barron himself. He'd be out chasing pretty, young skirts the day after Melania left. How much time does ANYONE really think ol' Donny spends with Barron?? Barron will end up a mess between the shit-shows of ol' Donny and Melania. He'll be one F-ed up kid, I have no doubt.

Trump returns to Washington early as allies plot challenge to Biden victory

    excerpt:

"He made no public comment about the Christmas Day bombing in Nashville, nor the death of a newly elected Republican congressman, Luke Letlow, from complications related to Covid-19.

Instead, Trump has remained fixated on undermining the results of the November election since he arrived at Mar-a-Lago on 23 December, accompanied by the first lady, Melania Trump.

Already sour, his mood was darkened further when he saw the renovations to his private quarters at the club, which had been overseen by his wife in an effort to prepare their family for life after the White House, according to CNN.

Trump’s earlier than expected departure means the president will not attend the resort’s annual New Year’s Eve party, a lavish, black tie affair he and his family traditionally attend.

According to CNN, as many as 500 reservations had already been confirmed for the event."

Trump boasts about his Covid response after largely ignoring crisis during deadliest month yet

    excerpt:

"And, on Thursday, the last day of the month and the year, Trump tweeted a video in which he boasted about his administration’s response to the pandemic.

During December, the country plunged into what would become its toughest battle against Covid-19, even as vaccines started to go out. The nation reported more than 6.1 million new infections and more than 74,140 deaths, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.

The latest totals make December the deadliest month of the Covid-19 pandemic in the United States, surpassing April, when more than 60,738 Americans lost their lives to the coronavirus."
