Short of all 50 US Capitol buildings under siege and overwhelmed by trump supporters martial law is off the table.

"Officer Daniel Hodges was one of those officers who tried to battle back rioters but was roughed up in the fight. Hodges gained notice after footage of him circulated being crushed by a door. The 32-year-old officer is seen in the clip with blood dripping through his teeth as he kept gasping for enough air so he could yell "Help" at the top of his lungs.

Hodges raced to the Capitol to offer support like many others and soon found himself being assaulted from an angry mob that, he said, believed they were patriots.

"You know things were looking bad," said Hodges, who miraculously walked away with no major injuries and may have suffered a minor concussion. "I was calling out for all I was worth, and an officer behind me was able to get me enough room to pull me out of there and get me to the rear so I was able to extricate myself."

This was Hodges's first visit to the Capitol building."

If you need even more proof of just how violent these people are just ask the FBI and US Marshall service who are responsible for rounding up these suspects.


During the raids they’ve uncovered so many large cache of weapons they now use SWAT whenever forced entry is necessary for fear of being repelled by automatic weapons fire.

 

You do not comprehend. The lawyers are not running things anymore. Your constitution is garbage for all practical purposes. Around the world, legislators commonly wrestle on the legislative floor. They literally perform Professional Wrestling for their constituents, who love it. One province in Italy elected a popular porn star to office twice and, then elected her understudy. You can't run a country that way. Its fun stuff, but not when it involves a third of the fucking population, and your own congress starts attempting to kill each other.

I have noticed over the years that many guys who work for the government as cops and firemen have a big attitude that when they are off duty they are above the law. It's the same attitude problem lots of elected politicians have, even years after they are retired from politics.

 

I agree, still you can't overlook the irony that an ex-firefighter is being charged with assault & battery on police officers with a fire extinguisher.

 

From an outsiders perspective things probably do look bad here in america, but our democracy is still strong.

It's my hope when all of those responsible are rounded up, and prosecuted, and Joe Biden is sworn into office,
the remaining duck dynasty rejects will finally accept the election results and disappear once again into obscurity

 

I'm an American, and our democracy is nonexistent. Sorry, but lawyers killing each other on the legislative floor is not a democracy. Donald Duck attempting to make himself emperor of the world, and 43% of the population supporting him, is not even remotely close to a functional democracy.
