Funny thing I saw on the news is Trump's private army has been denied at the airports, because they were trying to check in their guns as they booked flights to DC.

A First for an American President, and a First for Donald Trump

    excerpt:

"In almost certainly the most expansive series of penalties he has incurred in his life, Mr. Trump’s Twitter account has been banned, his business brand badly dented, his presidency doomed to the historical infamy of a second impeachment. His largest lender, Deutsche Bank, is moving to create distance from him. His New Jersey golf club was stripped of a major tournament. Some once-reliable Republican congressional loyalists are revisiting their commitment, threatening his grip on the party, even as the president’s popularity with much of his support base remains undimmed.

Those who have known and watched Mr. Trump across the years cannot shake the irony of a president felled by the very formula that powered his rise: inflammatory speech and a self-regard that has congealed at times into functional self-delusion.

He has never considered words to be as significant as actions, or even in the same category of prospective offense. Words were whatever got him through the next interaction, people who worked with him say. Words were not deemed important enough to invite serious trouble."

Did you hear about the flight last Friday full of trump supporters flying from DC to Phoenix? They got rowdy so the pilot told them if they didn’t follow the rules, he would land in the middle of Kansas, and kick them of the plane. They would have to find transportation home. They settled down real fast. The airline said they backed the pilot.

It’s going to take a united front of citizens who are sick and tired of these assholes to shun them everytime they try and start some bullshit.

    Donald Trump is a loser

    excerpt:

"Two lawmakers in Tennessee held a prayer rally, denouncing Biden's win.

“We need to be praying for the truth to be revealed,” state Sen. Mark Pody, a Republican, told the crowd in Nashville, according to The Associated Press.

State Rep. Bruce Griffey, also a Republican, said that he hoped Vice President Mike Pence could somehow prevent the certification of Biden becoming president.

“But if he doesn't, it doesn't matter. God is in control," Griffey said before leading the crowd in chanting: “We love Trump! We love Trump!""

WATCH: Trump supporters unhinged when learning they're on no-fly lists

    excerpt:

"A plethora of videos were posted this past weekend of people who allegedly participated in the siege on the Capitol.

Videos show Trump supporters being removed (some forcibly) from airports and airplanes as they arrived or departed destinations.

Agents are seen escorting and in one case carrying the alleged rioters away.

One video shows a woman, with a foreign accent asking officials about her children, another shows a man screaming and crying about being asked to leave an airport terminal. And another shows a passenger being escorted off a plane, while passengers cheer.

Since the attempted coup on January 6, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has been asked for the public's help with identifying those seen entering the Capitol building.

Under an executive order signed by Trump himself, rioters could face 10 years in prison for participating in the event."

Ryan used the raid on the Capitol in a sleazy way to promote her realtor job.

Texas realtor who took private jet is charged in Capitol riot

    excerpt:

"She also livestreamed herself entering the building.

"We are going to f------ go in here. Life or death, it doesn’t matter. Here we go," she said in a now-deleted video. Ryan later added: Y’all know who to hire for your realtor. Jenna Ryan for your realtor.”

Authorities said hours after the breach, Ryan wrote on Twitter that she had "just stormed the Capital [sic]."

"It was one of the best days of my life," she wrote, according to the court documents. Another photo included in the documents shows her standing next to a broken window at the Capitol. In the caption, she said that news studios would be next "if the news doesn't stop lying about us.""

Texas realtor who took private jet is charged in Capitol riot

    excerpt:

"In a statement released Jan. 8, Ryan said she thought she was attending a "peaceful political march" but it turned into a violent protest.

"I do not condone the violence that occurred," she wrote. "And I am truly heartbroken for the people who have lost their lives. Hatred and violence toward each other are not going to solve our country’s issues. As a nation, we need to come together Republican, Democrat and Independent and have an open and honest discussion about the issues in our country and resolve our issues in peace.""

I think the idea that the BLM riots "triggered it, not Trump" is as absurd as the idea that Trump won the election, not Biden. Whether or not "It" is going away depends on what "it" is. I think Trump will continue with the Big Lie that the election was stolen, just as he continued with the Big Lie that Obama wasn't born in the USA and Hitler continued the Big Lie that Germany didn't lose WWI but was stabbed in the back by the politicans--for as long as it served their interests.

If "it" is the radical populist/nativist movement against democracy, that's not going away soon. The militia movement was alive when Timothy McVeigh bombed the Murrah building back in '95, and the foreign media mogul Rupert Murdoch launched his right wing narrowcasting medium Fox the following year. (Did you watch their recent revisionist special blaming the democrats for the assault on the Capitol?) Breitbart began its operations a year before Obama was elected. The Tea Party movement bankrolled by the Koch brothers in the Obama administration added a new layer of organized loonies and gave us such perennial demagogues as Ted Cruz. Hedge fund magnates the Mercers got into the act with their billions lavished on Breitbart and the (now) Fallen Angels, Steve Bannon and Milo Yiannopoulos. So no, this isn't going away in four days. The assault on the Capitol was just the Beer Hall putsch!

What should we call a radical nationalist/populist antidemocratic movement, complete with armed militias, based on the idea that racial minorities and leftists are stealing America and centered on devotion to a leader? To hell with Godwin's law. I'm callin' a Fascist movement by its real name.

Trump to leave Washington on morning of Biden's inauguration

    excerpt:

"On Thursday, chief of staff Mark Meadows’ wife was caught on camera leaving with a dead, stuffed bird. And trade adviser Peter Navarro, who defended the president's effort to overturn the election, was photographed carrying out a giant photo of a meeting between Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping. (Staff are allowed to purchase the photographs, said White House spokesman Judd Deere.) Also spotted departing the West Wing: a bust of Abraham Lincoln."

National Guardsman Is 1st Current Service Member to Be Arrested After Capitol Riot

    excerpt:

"Jacob Fracker, an infantryman with the Virginia National Guard who previously served as a Marine, and Thomas Robertson, an Army veteran, were arrested in Virginia on Wednesday.

Fracker is the first person currently serving in the U.S. military known to have been charged following last week's mob at the Capitol."

Why veterans of the military and law enforcement joined the Capitol insurrection

    excerpt:

"The history of extremism, law enforcement and the military goes deep in the U.S. Former Confederate officers founded the Ku Klux Klan in the 19th century. In the 1970s, the Klan operated openly at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. In 1995, Gulf War veteran Timothy McVeigh and accomplice Terry Nichols bombed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.

Analysts say extremist elements have ebbed and flowed in policing and the armed services as more Americans have embraced or moved away from violent ideologies, in part influenced by economic downturns and political changes, such as racist resistance to the 2008 election of Barack Obama as the first Black president in the U.S.

Many in law enforcement have seen a rise in caustic rhetoric by current and former colleagues.

Caesar Alvarez, a former sheriff’s deputy in rural New Mexico, said that in the last four years he’s seen increased vitriol being spewed among current and former law enforcement officers on social media.

“Statewide, like in most places, law enforcement is pro-Trump, pro-right wing,” Alvarez said. “There are moments in reading some of this stuff, you stop and think, ‘Are these guys committed to upholding the law or Trump?’”"

They are boasting about their operations on behalf of Trump. Many of them are former military. If you look at my posts from the last four years here on HF you'll see what I said about racist Klansmen in the military.

The common trait among these foolish Trump supporters is that they lack a proper education.

Unfortunately, there are some elite members with very good educations who see an opportunity for political advantage feeding the "deplorables". Ted Cruz is a Harvard Law grad. Josh Hawley is Yale Law School.
