Trump’s ‘crony pardons’ flabbergast the political world

    excerpt:

"Between the pardons granted earlier in his term and those dispensed on Tuesday night, Trump’s record of clemency will serve for historians as a Who’s Who of Trump’s orbit, beginning with his first impeachment. And it will etch into Trump’s legacy the use of one of the commander-in-chief’s most preeminent powers as a province of the politically subservient, the well-connected and the rich.

“The granting of even more sleazy crony pardons as the clock ran out on his one term,” said Benjamin Ginsberg, a nationally recognized elections lawyer who has represented past Republican presidential nominees, “will define the nature of his presidency.”

Even before Tuesday, Trump proved a loyal benefactor to political allies such as Manafort and Trump adviser Roger Stone. Family members were also beneficiaries of his pardon power — most notably, Charles Kushner, father of Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. In the hours before leaving office, Trump added to the list Ken Kurson, a confidante of Jared Kushner’s and former New York Observer editor who had been accused of cyberstalking."

    Pardon the swamp.

Trump’s ‘crony pardons’ flabbergast the political world

    excerpt:

"In parceling out his mercy, Trump appeared to reward many of his fiercest defenders and big donors.

Former Rep. Robin Hayes of North Carolina — one of three former Congress members granted clemency on Tuesday — drew support for his pardon from his home state Sen. Thom Tillis and members of North Carolina’s congressional delegation. Former Rep. Duke Cunningham’s conditional pardon was supported by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Broidy, a former deputy national finance chair of the Republican National Committee, had the support of Rep. Devin Nunes, a staunch Trump ally, and Bernie Marcus, the Home Depot co-founder and Republican donor. Real estate investor Tom Barrack, Trump’s friend, encouraged the pardon of Robert Zangrillo, the venture capitalist and father who stood accused in the national college admissions cheating scandal.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, and Miriam Adelson, the widow of the Republican billionaire megadonor Sheldon Adelson, were among supporters of Trump’s pardon of Aviem Sella."

    Yo Mind is Worthless Crap!

Insisting you know what the hell you’re doing!
Yo mind is worthless crap, by its own standards!
Paying it forward, by rolling crap downhill faster!
Lashing out at anybody who might come near you!
Yo mind is the last thing, anyone gives a crap about!
Your feelings never mattered if no one else’s ever do!
Complaining that all is fair in love, war, and politics!
Refusing to even consider another person’s feelings!
Goldilocks, chose to learn her lesson the hard way!
The last thing, anybody I know gives a shit about!
Is how you will ever be remembered, by anyone!

Yo many contributions to survival of the fittest!
Whenever all is fair in love, war, and politics!
In reality, I can do and say whatever I want!
No one will care, if I indulge my fantasies!
When they all run around, like chickens!
Panicking, screaming the sky is falling!
If uncertain as to where you’re going!
    Finding yourself, running in circles!
Either Yo Mind Is Worthless Crap!
Or You Must ALREADY Be There!
Dear Mr Fantasy…Play Us A Tune!
    Something…To Make Us All Happy!
Do anything take us out of this Gloom!
Sing a song, play guitar, make it snappy!
Play us your happy, happy, joy, joy songs!

Man charged with assaulting police officer during Capitol riot

    excerpt:

"Patrick Edward McCaughey III was arrested and charged on Tuesday with assault, disorder, entering a restricted area and violent entry or disorderly conduct, federal prosecutors announced Wednesday.

Charging documents filed in federal court allege that McCaughey was one of the rioters attacking Officer Daniel Hodges in a viral video first reported by CNN that shows Hodges screaming in pain as he's crushed by a surging mob.

“The vicious attack on Officer Hodges was abhorrent and quintessentially un-American,” Michael Sherwin, the acting U.S. attorney for D.C., said in a statement. “It is my pledge that anyone involved in violent attacks on law enforcement at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. McCaughey’s alleged actions were an assault on Officer Hodges, the Capitol, and the rule of law itself.”

McCaughey is being accused of using a police riot shield to push against Hodges as he was pinned. Another rioter in the video can be seen trying to rip Hodges's gas mask off."

Feds Bust Conspiracy-Addled Pickup Artist Who Allegedly Brought Guns to D.C. Riot

    excerpt:

"The day after the attack on the Capitol, Fisher, who operates “LuxLife Dating Coach,” went on Facebook to brag about his role in the insurrection. After being asked if he went on the “frontlines” of the riot, he answered, “It was awesome. It was dangerous and violent. People died...but it was fucking great if you ask me….i got tear-gassed and pepper-sprayed.”

“Seeing cops literally run ... was the coolest thing ive ever seen in my life,” Fisher added. “Cant divulge too much here...but fuck the DC police. In all seriousness and get ready.”

Federal investigators were eventually tipped off to Fisher’s identity by an informant. The informant sent a photo of Fisher in front of a flag that reads, “Don’t Tread on Trump, Keep America Great.” The photo is captioned, “Can’t wait to bring a liberal back to this freedom palace.”

According to a criminal complaint, Fisher began posting about his intent to travel to D.C. for Trump’s rally in December, stating in a Facebook post, “we must stand up to these people and take our world back” and “It’s time to bring the pain upon them.” In another New Years’ Eve post, Fisher revealed he was planning to “exercise my 2A legal rights” during the Jan. 6 rally."

Ellis has been placed on leave. He was appointed during the final days of the Trump administration.

Recent Trump appointee at National Security Agency placed on leave

    excerpt:

"Michael Ellis, the recently installed general counsel at the National Security Agency, was placed on administrative leave Wednesday because his appointment is now the subject of an investigation by the Defense Department Inspector General, according to two sources familiar with the matter. There is also a separate allegation that he mishandled classified information.

Last week, acting Secretary of Defense Chris Miller directed that the position be filled by Ellis, a last-minute move that quickly sparked criticism from Democrats.

"I think it's very clear this is part of the administration's effort to embed people in the civil service who are political and partisan actors who don't belong there," said Representative Adam Schiff, chair of the House Intelligence Committee, on "Face the Nation" on Sunday.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Sunday denounced the hire in a letter to Christopher Miller, the acting Defense Secretary under former President Trump. Pelosi cited reports that Ellis was involved in an effort to "launder intelligence information" and also "shield information" about Mr. Trump's call with the president of Ukraine that ultimately led to his impeachment.

"The efforts to install him or 'burrow' him into a highly sensitive intelligence position 72 hours prior to the beginning of a new Administration manifest a disturbing disregard for our national security," Pelosi wrote."

Of course they see him as weak because of his refusal to declare martial law.

They spilled blood for him and what did they get in return – Federal trespassing charges, a pink slip from their employer, and a life time membership on the US no-Fly list

While President Biden with a swipe of a pen can reverse nearly all of Trumps miscalculations over the past 4 years, The hard part will be restoring the reputation of the United States as a world leader

Biden’s 17 Executive Orders and Other Directives in Detail

In 17 executive oders, memorandums and proclamations signed hours after his inauguration, President Biden moved swiftly on Wednesday to dismantle Trump administration policies his aides said have caused the “greatest damage” to the nation.

President Biden has also halted construction of Mr. Trump’s border wall with Mexico. The order includes an “immediate termination” of the national emergency declaration that allowed the Trump administration to redirect billions of dollars to the wall. It says the administration will begin “a close review” of the legality of the effort to divert federal money to fund the wall.

Stupid is as stupid does, you can't get anymore stupid, than to be stupid enough to vote for Donald Duck, who is as stupid as they come. I'm sorry, but if you cannot prove you are smarter than Donald Duck, then you are a complete fucking flaming idiot.

Numerous pardons related to Florida and fraud.

Trump’s pardons full of Florida scammers, rappers and well-connected

Trump’s pardons full of Florida scammers, rappers and well-connected

    excerpt:

"An eye doctor convicted in the biggest Medicare fraud in the nation’s history. A Miami developer charged in the Varsity Blues college admissions scandal. And five executives accused of defrauding the state of Florida.

That’s a sampling of the people with Florida ties who received one of President Donald Trump’s last-minute pardons just before he left the White House.

More than 100 individuals received a pardon or commutation of their sentence early Wednesday morning. Though the final list did not include Trump or his family, it included a group of well-connected convicted felons, wealthy fraudsters and two celebrity rappers, as well as dozens of individuals sentenced to long sentences for drug crimes. Elliot Broidy, a past fundraiser for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other Republicans, received a full pardon."

Doesn't sound like the forgotten people, the down-and-outers, and the left-behinders from places like W. Virginia and Kansas that Trump talked about early in his term.

When the Big Sleezey was destroyed by Katrina, a shitload of them moved to Florida, the only place with more insane politics. The King Fisher would eat Donald Duck for lunch.

QAnon will have to wait for the second coming of Trump to bring it salvation.

As Trump's press secretaries would always say, "Stay tuned!"

As Trump departs office, reality sets in for QAnon cult

As Trump departs office, reality sets in for QAnon cult

    excerpts:

"But as the clock ticked down to noon on Wednesday, Q message boards began filling with increasingly desperate posts from followers who claimed to have gone without sleep for as long as six days, not wanting to miss the moment they had been waiting and hoping for for years. “Please God, I’m watching, it’s making me sick to my stomach, but I want to see arrests,” one wrote. “Either arrests happen or we are now China’s property,” wrote another. And as Biden prepared to take the oath, a few minutes before 12 p.m. ET, despair turned to anger, even at Trump himself. “Thanks Trump!” read one post. “You sold out our country!”"

"It’s too early to say where QAnon will rank in the long history of human delusion. Its reach was wide but comparatively shallow — compared, say, with the Heaven’s Gate cult, whose three dozen or so members committed mass suicide in 1997, believing they would be transported to an alien spaceship tracking Comet Hale-Bopp as it approached Earth. Strong beliefs aren’t necessarily shaken by failed prophecies. Armageddon has been confidently predicted innumerable times since the Book of Revelation was accepted into the biblical canon; in fact, in 1971, the psychic Jeane Dixon pegged it for 2020, which must have seemed safe enough at the time. Now evidently leaderless, and with its raison d’être gone, QAnon may have nowhere to go. But its legacy will endure, a testament to human gullibility and the powerful urge to channel outrage against an enemy, even an imaginary one."

I was surprised he didn't give a pardon to Joe Exotic

Joe even had a limo waiting outside the prison to pick him up and drive him home........Instead he'll spend the next 20 years in prison.
