I know... Calling it out to help certain people get a grip. Sure, it must happen rarely. Occasionally a bear will shit on the street too. But to assume that's always what it is shows a lack of understanding.

It was murder and your hero pig should spend the rest of his worthless life in prison.

Trudgin', racism is really serious! Asking why we are making it such a big deal is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life.

Yeah. Of course racism is serious! Rain comes from the sky. Dogs eat meat.

Who is asking why we're making racism a big deal?
    Anyone here do that?

I know you can do better - you're capable of understanding what's said without changing it to something else. Maybe read slower? Or are you doing it on purpose? I can't tell.

And then call your something else ridiculous?
What's the point of that? C'mon dude...

You leave it unsaid and there's a problem. Plain as day. It's like talking to your children about drugs - it needs to be said.

Racism is definitely a problem here. Would Chauvin have lifted his knee if it was a white suspect? I can't say for certain but cops on the whole do treat black people more harshly than white people (See Capitol Riot vs. BLM demonstrations).

And soulcompromise, asking why we are making it such a big deal is the second most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life, the most ridiculous is hearing Donald Trump was elected President!

I didn't mention discussing drugs with kids, nor did I say anything about an asteroid hitting Earth, either. I guess you could say I failed to mention millions of things.

Whatever extraneous things "need to be said" outside a statement doesn't affect that statement. It's gonna be hard to get a grasp on life if you don't learn to break things down into their component parts.

Ultimately I think my point is you can't just leave racism alone and expect it to go away

What does that have to do with what I originally said?

    Are we playing semantics though?

It seems like you're missing the point and now saying that you've been misquoted.

Okay. I feel like you're a nice guy, and for that I'll give you some advice. Not being mean, purely honest, with the hope it helps you develop.

Reading comprehension skills - work on that. Go slow. Read twice. Try not to get into the writer's head, just consume the words. If you aren't sure what is being said, or the meaning behind it, ask for clarification. Never assume.

Answer questions. If someone asks what's two plus three, figure it out. If you can't, admit it and ask for help. You'll learn so much more by focusing and sticking to the issue. If someone asks you where they said something, show em. If you look and they didn't say what you thought they did, apologize and move on.

The immediate exercise I propose for you to learn from is to go back to my original post and your first response, look for incongruence as we swap responses. Take your time. See if you can spot any "playing semantics". List it with specific quotes. Note that you were responding to me so it's first about my point (s). Did you address any point which I may have made? Then see if you made any points relating to mine. What were they? How do you deduce that I missed any? Now look and see where I said you misquoted me, find it? Show me.
I know this is a very complex and time consuming exercise. Your completion of it will be my gauge of how serious you are about self-improvement and coherent dialogue. I wish you well.

    Thanks for the advice.

I'll refrain from presuming to give you any.

    Take care

Anyway we were at 9 jurors, then lost 2, then got 2 more so we're back at 9. Almost there.

May it serve you well. It's taken a lifetime to accrue. People talk about "advantages" ... well there's no advantage like being born into a family where the mother and father teach life skills and require children to always do their best. Cheers.
