If Pence plays it smart, he would line himself up with the anti-Trump GOP and completely stay away from the “stolen election” rhetoric in his campaign messaging. “Stop the steal” slowly but surely getting watered down along with all the other MAGA nonsense that’s making its way towards irrelevance.
Pence launches group as Trump officials line up new roles excerpt: "Pence's Advancing American Freedom, which could serve as a springboard for his own presidential campaign, will aim to promote the Trump administration’s achievements and work as a counterpoint to the Biden agenda. The new group is one of several launched in recent weeks by former aides of President Donald Trump. Shunned by corporate big money gigs, they are instead opening their own shops and embracing Trump's legacy as they seek to capitalize on his continued popularity with the Republican base. They include Trump's former senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, the architect of polarizing immigration policies, who on Wednesday announced the creation of America First Legal, a group that Miller envisions as an American Civil Liberties Union for conservatives."
Meese, Conway, Kudlow, and Lighthizer. Building a bridge to the 14th century, Pence launches group as Trump officials line up new roles excerpt: "Pence's group includes an unpaid advisory board made up of conservative leaders including the anti-abortion rights advocate Marjorie Dannenfelser and Ed Meese, who was President Ronald Reagan's attorney general, as well as former Trump administration officials including former counselor Kellyanne Conway, economic adviser Larry Kudlow and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer. That makeup is a nod to Pence's broader effort to position himself as someone who can appeal to various parts of the party."
It's a real problem for Republicans; one that will take even greater import from now until 2024. GOP lawmakers that had hopes to run for president will find their plans totally mangled by what Trump decides to do. On the day he announces his intention to run, their plans for moving forward are completely altered. So what do they do in the meantime? Do they try to keep Trump down, even knowing that any efforts to do so will sit badly with his supporters? (We've seen what they're capable of, haven't we?) Or do they just give up and throw themselves behind Trump again, knowing that the country (and democracy) will be hurt if he wins? I'll say this; I dread waking up the day after Election Day in 2024 and finding that we're in for the same destructive garbage we got ourselves into at the end of 2016. Plainly, it's not just up to the Democrats to fight this; Republican lawmakers need to as well, even if means putting off their own political ambitions and dreams.
They are fucking chickens, of the die-hard KKK crispy fried variety, and know damned well that they talked themselves into believing whatever the hell they want. You spend any time with chickens like the KKK, and its impossible to deny they are chickens, no different from televangelists or whatever. They'll blame Donald Duck, because only stupid chickens blame themselves. The idea they can ever be anything different from fucking chickens, would mean they'd never have anything exciting to peck at again.
Donald Duck wants to be dictator for life, not president. All he has to do is destroy our politics, and he's made an excellent showing so far. Whether you make him a dictator or not, he commands the throne, proving every day that we only have one functional political party.
He knows which side his bread is buttered on. Mitch McConnell Walks Back Warning for Woke Corps to 'Stay out of Politics'
McConnell's bread is between his ass cheeks, and is greased on both sides. His biggest claim to fame is he's better than an inflatable sex doll and a cassette tape.
