Man who ‘invited Christ back into our Capitol’ during pro-Trump riot has been arrested

    excerpt:

"Michael Lee Roche was arrested Tuesday for storming the U.S. Capitol, like hundreds of others, on January 6. But unlike most, Roche was crystal clear about who sent him to the riot.

He says he was there specifically for Jesus.

Roche, 26, of Murfreesboro Tenn., posted video on Facebook, according to the FBI complaint. Here's how it read in part:

"My name is Michael Roche. We're here in Washington D.C. We did get a chance to storm the Capitol. And we made it into the chamber…We managed to convince the cops to let us through. They listened to reason. And when we got into the chamber, we all started praying and shouting in the name of Jesus Christ and inviting Christ back into our state capitol."

Roche, who was also photographed at the Trump rally before the riot, had a celebrity photo op with Jacob Chansley, aka the QAnon Shaman. Here's how he captioned the photo:"

Inviting Christ to the Capitol? I'm an agnostic but if you ask What Would Jesus Do I can state with certainty he would not storm the Capitol in support of Trump. Trump would remind him of the Romans.

The usual members of Trump's orbit have been involved in defending Rittenhouse, including MyPillow founder Mike Lindell and attorney Lin Wood who is representing him.

Wood is also representing Sidney Powell who is involved in a civil suit for spreading misinformation about Dominion voting machines in an effort to promote Trump's allegations that the 2020 election was stolen from him. Powell has said that her accusations against Dominion are so outlandish that no one reasonable would believe them, which seems to be self-acknowledged evidence that she has defamed Dominion (regardless of who might believe it).

Ricky Schroeder of the 80's TV show Silver Spoons donated $150,000 for Rittenhouse's bail.

Rick Schroder explains bail for Kenosha shooter Kyle Rittenhouse: 'It made me mad'

    excerpt:

"Last Friday, Rittenhouse‘s attorney Lin Wood announced his client’s release on $2-million bail — and Schroder and MyPillow founder Mike Lindell’s involvement — in a tweet. Close to $600,000 was also raised for Rittenhouse’s defense via a Christian fundraising site, GiveSendGo. In a letter posted there, Wood called Rittenhouse a “political prisoner.” College Republicans at Arizona State University also vowed to donate to his defense."

Police near the scene before the shooting were chumming with Rittenhouse and offered him water. They praised a 17-year old with an assault weapon for supposedly being able to do their job of enforcing the law for them while they sat in their vehicles at a safe distance from the action.

Rittenhouse walked right past the police vehicles after the shooting in spite of bystanders yelling to the police that he had just shot a number of people

Trump started his campaign in 2015 with what seemed like a noble and pragmatic cause to help working class people like coal miners and farmers who were left behind by the Great Recession.

It devolved into endless culture wars that involved him summoning and activating the most outlandish, irrational, grunge, sordid, fanatic, pathetic characters and groups imaginable, like a freak show at the circus, to support his baseless claims such as election fraud.

Leaks from the White House on the day of the riot at the Capitol say that even Trump, while comfortably watching his rioters on TV, commented that they didn't look too good.

US: QAnon followers tied to Capitol riot arrested, FBI says | DW | 14.04.2021

    excerpt:

"Several advocates of the QAnon conspiracy theory have been placed in custody for charges related to the breaching of the US Capitol, FBI Director Christopher Wray said at a Senate hearing on Wednesday.

"We have arrested at least five self-identified QAnon adherents related to the January 6 attacks specifically," Wray told the Senate Intelligence Committee. He said the FBI was planning to release a public report on domestic threats from QAnon soon.

Wray said he believed that the pandemic has made people more vulnerable to conspiracies such as QAnon. He added that social media platforms have become the "key amplifier to domestic extremism" in the United States."

San Marcos resident arrested for participation in Capitol riot

    excerpt:

"SAN MARCOS, Texas - A San Marcos resident and reported video editor with Infowars has been arrested and charged for participating in the January 6 Capitol riot.

On January 11 the FBI says it received a tip to the National Threat Operations Center from a family member of San Marcos resident Samuel Christopher Montoya.

The family member reported they had proof that Montoya was physically inside the U.S. Capitol near the shooting of a woman on January 6. FBI agents interviewed the family member on January 17 to follow up on the tip."

Instagram post leads to Little River man’s arrest for alleged role in deadly Capitol riots

    excerpt:

"HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WMBF) – A Little River man is now accused of participating in one of the most infamous days in U.S. history when thousands of people stormed the U.S. Capitol.

Online records show 26-year-old Nicholas Languerand was arrested by the FBI and booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center just before 8 a.m. Thursday.

Federal criminal documents show that he faces several charges including assaulting, resisting or impeding an officer using a dangerous weapon and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol Grounds.

The criminal complaint shows that the FBI received a tip on Feb. 26 that Languerand had posted a picture on Instagram of himself at the U.S. Capitol riots on Jan. 6. The Instagram post states, “‘Remember this day forever.’ I love you guys. Ask me about the….”"
